Alright, this post is going to be about the fifth book in the series. There won't be any true spoilers, but if you're the sort of person who wants to go into a book completely blind, then you might want to skip this one... after the next paragraph.

While I have you, let me remind everyone that the first audiobook is coming out sometime soon! I can't be exactly sure when because Audible controls that. It would be great to have the Amazon page for the ebook version in good shape before a large new audience sees it for the first time. If you haven't left a review, please consider leaving one! With that mentioned, it's time to discuss...

TWC5: Bondsfungi

Only a handful of patrons have chosen the $25 tier, but they've all gotten a character or material mentioned in the books. A recent person, however, got lucky: their idea for a sublime material matched up very well with what I was working on. Not only is a plot-important material named after their concept, so is the book itself. ^-^

The fifth book in the series is a key turning point in multiple senses. Expect some serious self-reflection along with the soulcrafting. It also includes some elements I've been wanting to introduce from the beginning, but felt like would overfill the books prior to this point. It'd be a spoiler to say what, but I'm looking forward to them.

After the end of the fourth, it's no surprise that this book will have a significant focus on Nauda. Theo still has the majority of POVs, but the book is thematically about the two of them hashing out their alliance and their beliefs. You'll also get to see the blueprint drafting process in a way that you haven't before. This is another facet of soulcrafting that I think is fun, so I hope everyone will enjoy it.

I can also report that I've made significant progress on the book. It requires editing and possibly some additions/rewriting, but it looks like it will be the longest in the series so far, edging out Archcrafter. I aim for a smaller length, but when a book goes over I don't hold back.

Unfortunately, I can't promise an exact release date. This year I've made more progress on TWC than I expected, in part thanks to the enthusiastic response, but the simple fact is that you guys are catching up. My buffer of work is mostly gone, so it's inevitable that there will be longer gaps between books. In a future post I might make another poll about what schedule you'd prefer for future chapters.

But we're not to the gap yet! Please look forward to chapters of Bondsfungi posting before too terribly long. ^-^

Can't wait to see how Nauda revamps her soulhome. And you have been amazing with everything

Maybe she might be more open to some of Theo’s advice now?

Definitely not the first one, sorry. Next week will probably be taken up by the audiobook release. I just wanted to be clear that we're not talking multiple months.
