bad news continued (Patreon)

typing this from crappy tablet punctuation will be infrequent

It wasnt my mobo or my power supply  it was my graphics card im not sure precisely what the problem is but the computer wont turn on with card plugged in and turns on just fine with it not hooked in

i dont know if its my trip or the fact that evga released defective cards (something i just discovered)

my mobo doesnt have an hdmi or dvi output so I am reliant on a graphics card to use my computer. 

i dont know if there are additional issues. i also worked 60 hours on my vacation and earned a grand total of 600 for it. that may not seem like much but it bought me an extra couple of months in my current living situation

i cant wait for an rma and i cant afford to replace the card outright. especially if there are additional issues. im probably going to purchase a mid range card as a temp replacement as i work out the warranty. if they agree to replace it, i will sell the mid range card. if not, ill use the mid range card until i can afford better

this is all assuming the card is the only issue. (crossin my fingers on that one)

however this means i will be unable to use my computer until monday or tuesday
