Lovely Mornin' Buddy~!

Just another casual build for you. :)

This is a bunch of stuff I wanted to cram into the Crunch build, but opted to release it sooner. So most of this build is features that took a bit of time to get functional. Right now it's very placeholder but now that it's in the game, it's just about filling in all that content~!

---

[ Oh hey, you can finally see Random Events pop up! ]

---

Build 0.66.1 Change-List:

  • Feature - Random Events ( /w Placeholder Events for now)
  • Feature - Ending Sequences ( /w VERY placeholder assets for now)
  • Debug Menu - "Always Open" Mode (all the places/actions are open regardless of what time it is)
  • Code - Stats/Money are clamped (stats don't exceed max values and money never goes into the negative)
  • Bugfix - Fixed up Make Flash/Dorm Computer action
  • Bugfix - Fixed Art Progress % display

---

[ As you see, things are VERY placeholder at the moment ]

---

So what's up? :D

I can't stress how very placeholder these new feature are, cuz seriously, they're very placeholder! This is because we're at the point where it's all about content, content and more content... which means we just gotta fill the game with all the substance now. Ahh yes... can't wait to keep grinding~

---

Random Events ~

So this feature was temporary disabled because the way the game system works, most of the actions you take use the same system and it took some time to get it working for everything. Originally, Random Events only popped up when you worked your job, but now it can appear during other actions, like making art, asking for promotions, taking the university exam etc. So maybe we can use this unintended feature for more content! (maybe...~)

It's in the game but you'll see that only placeholder events pop up. We'll still need to go in and write the events. But it's more just a matter of time and creativity now.

---

[ How all the events look right now. Very placeholder. Just gotta fill all of them up~ ]

---

How Random Events Work ~

I might've already explained how they work in the past, but here's a quick summary: You get a scenario, and two options. Each option will have a "stat" associated with it (ie. a funny option will be associated with you "Humor" while a courageous option will use your "Confidence"). It won't be too obvious which options use what stat, so you'll have to choose wisely. When you make a decision, the stats will compared to each other and you get a percentage of success.

Basically, if you're a funny guy, you'll want to choose the funny options vs. Creative options, Diligent options etc.

Your Balls stat will also help with these random events and give you a general boost to your success. For those who've been wondering what you need Balls for, it's to take chances :p

---

[ Originally the percent of success for each option was visible, but then I thought, why wouldn't you always just choose the one with best chances. So now these chances are invisible, and you have to choose wisely based on the description of the action ]

---

Endings and Other Features

So the writing for the multiple endings have already been done prior to this build but they only showed up as a one-liner describing which ending you got. But now you can actually read it!

But like much of this build, the visuals for the endings are placeholders at the moment. As you can see, the endings will be sort of like floating still images, kinda like a storyboard with parallax.

And if you have access to the God-Mode Build, you'll find an "Always Open" Mode now, which basically ignores the Open/Closed availability for each location. It really makes the game super speedy haha.

---

[ Just like the Beta Version, I'm thinking the Endings will end with a  piece of art like this (and then... you know, the climax stuff) ]

---

If it isn't obvious by now, I got lots of work replacing all this placeholder stuff with real content, so I'm gonna go and do that! I'll talk to ya later! Hope you have a wonderful day :)

Much luv~
