Old model updates (Patreon)

For the past few days i have spent my time doing the updates that were requested to some of previous models, so here they are :) 

1. Tech glasses frames - both for the glassed and the pointer there are now both solid and thin lenses 3d models for 3d printing them in resin or vacuum forming - files are in the folder

2. Bo katan belt buckle and hangers - that was the most interesting one. Belt hangers are pretty straightforward but when i was making the bucklei figured it would be nice for it to have some "wiggle room" that would follow the shape of the belly - files are in the fodler to everyone who has access to bo katan

So i made 2 versions : 1 - a static one , pretty much straightfowrard print, and 2 - the one i called "pivot" one - That one has a small hinge in the middle that is connected with 2mm screws/rods, even normal filament strand, and it allows the belt to move/take better shape of the belly. Its just a random idea i had but i figured it would look good and be more funcitonal so you will let me know how it works :) 

I also hope i got the scale somewhat right, but also awaiting feedback so if any adjustments will be needed, just let me know :) 

3. Ronin lightsaber "main hilt" - the original idea was to glue the blade holder to the hlt part and use m3 screws as a guide or to screw them into the plastic itself. That would ofcour ruin the placit when replaced a few times, so now in the "main hilt" body there is also space for m3 nuts that you can insert so you can take off that part away to access electronic ( other verions than non 25 mmm had trouble accessing electronics from the top) , so now there should be no issues any more and the build is a bit more "mechanical"/technical. 4.3d printable stencil shell for squid game soldier masks - this was requested allot, something to help you paint the symbols. When i got asked about this my initial reaction was that such shells will be very difficult to use epecially on filament printers bcs there will be lots of support needed and the shape will not come out perfectlly, but as i got asked more and more about it i made it, so please let me know if its even functional. I still believe this will be hard to use.

Now one "bad" news - About the retractable version - after inspcting the build it came clear i cannont use this version for retractable model, so i would have to make an entirelly new model/design and it would take several days (by time it will be late for halloween) and all i did for this build (shape cutouts, straps, all the other options) would go to waste. Given there are allready tons of models out there and the fact the masks are available on aliexpress for a few $ and the fact that if i go into making them, halloween will allready over when you would be able to start printing them, and the fact that people dont really care about retractable (at least the ones i talked to) it seems like a waste of time and i would much rather start making something new than spending lots and lots of time on old designs taht are available everywhere :D
