This is definitely up there for “worst release estimation” thus far, but the good news for why this took such so much longer to finish than expected is because I kept writing more scenes like a dumbass, and didn’t pause to consider how long it would take to implement and check all of that in-game. As a result, the update is now somewhere north of 35 000 words (only counting the new content, not old things ported over.) As I mentioned in the last update, I’ve added back most of the in-game clothing, the clothing snippets for checking the players appearance, the Elven village, and the boss of the second dungeon. The extra stuff that I added was basically just even more scenes for the second dungeon boss. There are scenes for both winning and losing for this boss. I’ve also added sprite icons for most of the clothing in-game. Still doesn’t change the characters appearance, but it gives you a little visual idea of how the clothes look.

As with the last update, I’ve also evented most of the events to some degree. So instead of the screen simply fading to black when something sexy happens, the characters actually move around on the screen. I think I’ll put up a poll for this, but I would like to hear your thoughts on the little “animations” of the characters during these scenes. It’s basically just their player models moving back and forth with each other, but I think it might be nice to have as something else going on on-screen.

Now that this update is done, I’m going to start looking for a new anime style artist. Last time, when I considering all the different characters and the amount of artwork I wanted for each, I felt it best to go for a more affordable artist to be able to pump out art at a faster and more sustainable rate, but now I’ve saved up a bit of money I can use towards jump starting some new art, and I’m okay with things potentially slowing down depending on my income at the time, as I’ve decided I’d rather have really high quality art for the main characters and stick to rpg maker artwork for the less important ones than have art for all of them faster but have the art not be quite as nice. I’ll be putting up more detailed descriptions on what I’m looking for on some other websites, so if anyone looking at this would like to work on the game, I’ll edit links to those posts onto this post when I post them.

If you are updating your game from a version prior to 0.13.0 and there are patches available, make sure you update to 0.13.0 first. Check the instructions for porting saves if you are confused about this, though you basically just need to copy over your save folder from your current version of the game. The initial release contains all the art assets and things like that, and while I could put those into a patch, there’s a decent chance I could miss something and cause errors because of it. For version 0.12 there was a single light image that was added, so if you skipped version 0.12.0 and used a patch you wouldn’t have had that, and it would have caused an error.

The next update will probably be focused around the start of dungeon 3. I also finally want to get around to doing more content with Claire, but starting a new dungeon usually takes up a lot of time, so that might need to wait until 0.15. Or maybe I’ll do both anyways and take too long to finish things up again, it’s basically my specialty at this point. I’m also going to start going back and editing the text passages so the longer passages can fit in single text boxes, like how all the new content is set up.

Thank you all for your continued support (and patience with my horribly inconsistent release schedule)!

How do I leave the elven village?

Make sure you have the latest patch for the game, because I messed up the exit originally. If it's patched properly, you should be prompted to leave by just moving to the bottom of the map.
