TOTK RANDOMIZER UPDATE NOTES - v0.9.4

New: 

  • You can now customize the Randomizer Cycle events that can occur in your run next to the actual Cycle speed. You don't like a specific category? You can now disable it and appreciate the mod even more! Note that you can use this method to force a specific effect for an extended amount of time. For example, disable environmental changes when a cool environment is active so it does not revert!

 Additions: 

  • Added 8 Options (Enable/disable Randomizer Cycle categories).

  • Added 6 Environmental changes (4 Vanilla, 2 Custom).

  • Added a lucky 1% chance to get an advanced modifier level value of 100 on weapons, shields and bows.

 Changes: 

  • The Randomizer will now either increase or decrease a full Energy Cell charge instead of only a third to make the change more impactful.

  • You will no longer get interrupted/action cancelled when using abilities such as Ultrahand, Ascend, Fuse, etc., as well as when shield surfing, climbing, lifting objects, using bows, throwing weapons and materials since paused events such as item dialogues will no longer be triggered in that time - unpaused events will be triggered instead.

  • The Randomizer Cycle can now change and revert environments when a damaging environment is active.

  • Removed the increased chance per second to revert damaging environments.

  • Removed the minimum time damaging environments can be active.

  • Increased the maximum time damaging environments can be active.

 Bugfixes: 

  • Equipping the Randomizer Staff no longer increases the total events triggered counter by 3.

  • The "The Randomizer Cycle starts now" message no longer appears when the Cycle is actually turned off via the Randomizer options.

  • Removed 14 "Headshot" goals because some enemies (Stone Taluses/Pebblits, Flux Constructs, Molduga and Evermeans) do not have a "Headshot" weak spot so the goals were impossible to complete.

  • Removed the "Obtain - Hylian Hood" goal because it's impossible to complete and would lead to confusion since the lowered version is meant and you never technically "obtain" that version. The normal Hylian Hood goal (with the same description) stays.

 Optimizations: 

  • General code optimization.

  • Merged multiple text files logically together (from 18 to 5 files) to make future translations easier.

I definitely like the customization options, but there's still a few issues, imo 0.5x is still really frequent for events, constant Phantom Ganon spawns are a little too constant (especially when they ruin other fights that are already interesting on their own. I had a Gleeok despawn mid-fight because phantom hands and a Ganon spawned, for example), and IMO monster group spawns need some kind of weighting so you are more likely to get stuff like normal mobs, and less likely to get stuff like Gleeoks and Frox, and all mob spawning should expire after a randomized time limit, instead of having despawning be part of the randomizer loop. This is definitely the best build yet, though.

Hi, thanks for the feedback. There might be slower Cycle speed options in the future - as for the Gloom Hands and Phantom Ganon - they only spawn at night so you could avoid that timeframe by resting at a campfire (for now). I imagine that most people would like to have an equal chance regarding which enemy groups can spawn because it's supposed to be a Randomizer, but I might do a poll in the future and check if that's true. Stay tuned for future versions!

hey, i have a problem with the mod, everytime i start the randomizer, everything is like in the depth and i cant figure out how to solve it
