In continuation from my last post about Patreon's recent payment problems...

Perhaps I am mistaken, but some time ago I came to believe (I think from a Patreon email), that in order for Patrons to be able to pledge to me via PayPal, I had to set that up on my end. But, because I am a NSFW account, that wouldn't be an option, since PayPal doesn't allow itself to be used for that sort of services. However, some people have told me they were able to set up all of their payments through PayPal, and that has solved the problem of their payment being declined. So were they able to set up payment to my account without me having to do anything on my end? I'll admit, I am a bit limited in my understanding of all that.

That leaves me to wonder if it's possible to pledge to me via PayPal, even if I haven't set that up as an option (perhaps I don't actually have to?). It may be an easier solution for solving the payment issue for some people, so I'll look further into it. In the meantime, if your payment was declined via your bank account, you can try switching to PayPal as an option (assuming you have a PayPal account to use).

Let me know if it works, if you try! Maybe I was wrong in thinking I had to set it up on my end.

Yeah I also go through paypal and I'm pledged to 8 different patreon creators (I think who I'm pledged to is visible to all). All but 1 are NSFW and whatever the issue was last week, it didn't affect my payments going through.

I've used PayPal exclusively for all my Patreon memberships. But I've also been a Patreon for at least 7-8 years now, so it's possible I was grandfathered in?
