not having a the boys reaction for a few days is like withdrawal from an addiction. The Boys is just to good. btw maybe you should also check out "Invincible" which is another Amazon Original, like The Boys. Invincible also gets a Season 2 later this year.

The opening sequence is so impactful, it's a good showing and representation of how political radicalization and fear-mongering work. This was actually in reference to things happening with (A particularly Dangerous President), that's why Stormfront uses the phrase "Keep America Safe Again", it's sad how certain politicians can manipulate and mobilize people to do heinous acts in the name of making America "great again".A very tough and timely conversation that many shows avoid, so as to not rock the boat, but I think it makes me appreciate shows like this more for having the guts to strike up the conversation and call certain things out.

Also, as always they love to contrast and mirror Homelander and Butcher. We learn that they both had similar upbringings, "Fathers" so to say that made their sons be something that they wanted them to be, and again we get a very clear picture of what Butcher is willing to do to reach his goals, we saw with Malory that he'd blow up a baby, and we see here that he'd erase an entire innocent family to get his way, which is something Homelander would also do...2 very different cases that have so many commonalities, that's why Homelander and Butcher are perfect pillars for the show.
