At this point the only way to save Hinata is for Takemitchy to kill himself because it seems everything he does leads to the events they are trying to prevent... hes freaking useless...

He's not totally useless. He's changed other characters' minds about certain things, which led to different results but w/ the same ending. The difference however, is that the main antagonist was forced out of hiding and thus Mikey is now aware that someone was pulling strings all along. So hopefully he won't be tricked into joining with Shuji now that he knows the truth. Besides, who wants a protagonist that gets everything right all the time. Takemichy has a lot of room for growth and him struggling but slowly progressing on his ultimate endeavor is what I appreciate about this anime.
