Hi guys,

Time for a Monday update! Dinovoila is having some internet issues so no Bestiary entry this week, but it doesn't mean you'll be without art pieces! I thought it good to inform you about some webcomic-related developments in the background.

- Djinn Webcomic project, The Perfect Run developments

A very long time ago, before I started writing web serials, I was considering working on my own webcomic. Although I ended up leaving the idea aside for later when I started writing Magik Online, the project never quite left my head. Now we're a few years afterwards; I've now some good experience making webtoons in partnership with Tapas and though Vainqueur the Dragon will not receive a second season, I've gained a few contacts in the industry that make development of new properties possible.

Perhaps it's time to give this old idea another go.

The webtoon project, tentatively titled Djinn, is an Arabian/Victorian fantasy mix currently in early development. Though I am very wary of announcing anything until everything is signed and ready, the first episode's script has been finalized and the pilot will soon enter production. If it is validated, you can look forward to a full season's development. Here are a few concept arts:

Still on the question of webtoons, the advance in AI-produced arts also offer new opportunities to adapt existing web novels. I've recently run tests with Vitaly S. Alexius - the man who did my Perfect Run covers - to see if we could use AI to quickly generate a webtoon-style adaptation of the original Perfect Run novel. Here are some test results for Ryan, Len and Jasmine.

It's still too early to say where these developments will lead, but I'm very impressed with the results; enough to see if we can produce whole episodes of a Perfect Run webtoon using AI-repurposed art. I'll keep you updated on how this project progresses.

- Vainqueur 45 Preview

Finally, here's a preview of Vainqueur's next webtoon episode, Victory At Last; exclusively on Tapas. As always, Victory never comes without a heavy price.
