Can discord be linked to Patreon using the app, or do I need to use a computer to make it happen? I'm not finding the options on the phone app.

Discord can be added through a desktop or mobile browser! It is in your settings under Connected Apps

We post our new episodes every other Tuesday at 9am PT. On episode release days, the cast and community listen to the new episode together and chat about it on Discord. We don't wait for the live listen before posting the episode.
