WIP Preview of New OST Song "Lydia" (Patreon)

Hey everyone!

Finally managed to make some progress on a new "daily" song for the game. These are meant to be general, low key background tracks that set the mood rather than focus your attention on them, which is something I've found to be quite challenging coming from a rock music background, haha!

Lydia is a special tune. I've been trying to learn some basic music theory while writing the soundtrack to Santa Lucia. This piece is specifically written in "Lydian" mode, which is one of the seven core scales in music. As music fans, we're most accustomed to hearing songs in Major (Ionian) or Minor (Aeolian), leaving a huge swath of untapped potential out there! Experimenting with Lydian, I've found it to be the ideal mode for achieving a dreamlike aesthetic. I hope I was able to get that across in this piece!
