"Santa Lucia" Build 1 Now Available! (Patreon)

Heya everyone! The first build of Santa Lucia can be downloaded on our itch.io page:

We're so excited to finally get this out to the public! The game has approximately 2 hours worth of content to explore depending on how quick you read. It has versions available for Windows, Mac, Linux, and Android, so most players should have the game in their preferred format. We look forward to hearing your thoughts on the project so far!

I know I wrote I would write a review of Morenatsu Homecoming on itch.io, but I honestly wasn't sure on what to write. Okay, I know there are a few new events that take place inbetween, together with a couple new backgrounds, but as far as the routes go... The “game within the game“ is pretty interesting and I wonder if you are trying to tell us something about the characters or are going to with it in future updates. (It has the potential to store secrets/hints) Well, I am so glad I saw your recent post on itch.io, so I know you now have a Patreon account where I can support you more practically anyway. You said you are not going to make it P2P and this is not something someone can call P2P, right? Maybe I can write some things about this visual novel instead. I hope I remember, if time is on my side... For the future good luck and I hope you earn more, deserved support! :) PS: don't abandon Morenatsu, please! (I am sure we care about all games not only the newly, “fresh“ come up games.

Even though I am a patron I can't write a comment or give a heart on the unlocked posts... I would send a screenshot, but I don't think it's possible. Ah I see, that's pretty rough. With a tier like this I can comment etc. on any post, any other VN, but not here. Not even the visual novel creators with 100 patrons after all are doing this. I don't think it's fair to be honest. I rather support 4 VN creator teams, with small money each, I don't even earn yet, instead of one! And don't just leave Morenatsu behind and fully concentrate on a new project! Nobody does that, it's too early for that. This team is by far not as big or well supported as for example The Echo Project, which is going to publish their 3rd VN soon. I am disappointed not gonna lie. No response is always appreciated.... I am happy to help out, but these circumstances are weird... You know 6$ (sophomere) (-Patreon's earning = 5-6€ maybe) doesn't seem much, in total though if you count in 12 month for one year it's 60-72€ --> $?. So remember I don't even earn money yet and here I am giving a part of what I have away. I could wait until the public version releases, but I don't! Well glad I can play the patron versions at least (The numbers don't really matter and I'm tired now)

This Patreon is exclusively for our new Santa Lucia project. This doesn't affect anything at all for Homecoming, which has been and always will be a project developed in our free time at no cost to everyone. I'll forward your review to Frostclaw, who's taken up the directorship role of Homecoming while Devilizer and I shift more of our focus onto Santa Lucia.

I'm sorry we made you feel slighted. We're new to running a Patreon and accidentally left a post that was meant for the $10 and up tiers open to all patrons. We have only been live for two days, so expecting us to have content comparable to other Patreons that have hundreds of supporters and months/years of development over us is a tad disingenuous. We have posts planned for members of all tier levels, we just need the time to actually get them out there, hehe... Like I've stated in other areas, just because Santa Lucia is my (DzahnDragon's) main project doesn't mean Homecoming is cancelled. Homecoming has always been a project developed in our free time at no cost to everyone. Frostclaw has taken up the directorship role of Homecoming while Devilizer and I shift more of our focus onto Santa Lucia. I'm still working alongside Frostclaw as he takes on the lead director role of the project, so it's not going anywhere. Once again, this Patreon is just for Santa Lucia. If you're supporting it to get access to anything exclusive for Homecoming, you will definitely be disappointed. We've gone through great lengths to ensure these two projects are independent.
