Hello Patrons!

We're all set to record another podcast but would love some more questions from the listeners. If you've already asked a podcast question that has not yet been answered, you don't need to ask it again, as we have made a note of all our favourite submissions and hope to address them in future episodes.

Remember, as our esteemed financial supporters, we'll be exclusively coming to you for weekly discussion topics, so please read the following guidelines before submitting:

- No controversial or naughty questions please

- This is a video game podcast about video games so please keep the questions video-game-related

- If there's a particular event or happening in the industry that you'd like us to discuss in detail, feel free! We like to address one 'big question' per week to headline each show, and pepper in smaller questions throughout

- Try to avoid topics we've covered before

- "Questions on a postcard" (don't make your question too long!)

- We ask for questions on Tuesday and typically record on Thursday morning, so try to get your questions in before then

- If your question isn't answered, don't despair! We keep a log of all questions and sometimes sub in older ones, so it could be answered in a future episode

Thanks all! We look forward to reading through your offerings, and we can't overstate how much we appreciate your support on Patreon and elsewhere!

- Peter and Ben

Hi guys, In the last few years we’ve seen a lot more representation for women in video games especially in regards to being the main protagonist of a game. However, we’ve yet to really see strong representation for other ethnicities in the starring role outside of games like the yakuza series & sleeping dogs. My question is do you think this should be a focus on changing in upcoming years? I think having a more diverse cast of lead characters, similar to how movies have had a shift toward a more diverse cast in recent years such as the black panther and upcoming Shang-chi movie would be a great start in uniting the gaming community and tackling problems in the wider world. Thanks for the content guys and I hope this makes for a good debate/conversation on one of your podcasts.

Hello boys, The Last of Us part 2 and Ghost of Tsushima state of play's have got me pretty pumped up for the next 2 months of gaming. I have found myself wanting to consume as much information as i can for these games without inadvertently spoiling the game for myself. My question is a relatively straightforward one, when you are hyped for a game do you prefer going in relatively cold or do you (like myself) want to consume as much information that the devs put out (i.e. not leaked info)? As a follow up does that change with the type of game it is? I'm careful with story driven cinematic games such TLOU, uncharted and God of War but with open world games like Red Dead 2 and Cyberpunk I feel more like I need every single detail available because it's unlikely to ruin the experience Many thanks and keep well in these straaaaange times

Your wonderful series, Cut Content focuses on the negative aspects of gaming but which mechanics would you like to see implemented in real life if they could? An XP bar? Skill Trees? Unlimited inventory? A d*****, sorry triple jump? Keep it up guys

Hi boiks! Finally got around to getting involved with the Patreon. I got my PS4 fairly shortly after launch and its has started developing an issue where it repeatedly (and very frustratingly) ejects the disc in the console of its own accord. It even sometimes turns itself on to eject the disc! I've no idea how to fix it either! Have either of you suffered a really annoying or game ending issue steming from a console or peripheral?

At this moment the world is on a tipping point, particularly as regards racial justice. In light of this, what do you guys think about video games as a way of telling diverse stories from frequently underrepresented perspectives? Do you have any favourite characters or games who do this well? Personally I think games, as with all mediums, have a responsibility to represent the breadth of human experience, and thus represent minorities, and educate majorities in life from a different perspective. What is fiction, if not an exercise in empathy? I know you guys try to keep the podcast light but I thought this might be a good opportunity to highlight some wonderful diversity.

Hi boys, hope you are keeping well! What is your all time favourite tv show tie in video game? Mine is Rocket Power Beach Bandits on PS2 based on the Nickelodeon show Rocket Power. I never actually watched the show before playing the game, however I loved the game so much that I then got into watching the show. Do you have any video games that, after playing, you then started to watch the TV show it was based on? Sorry it’s technically two questions I hope that’s okay! Stay safe (or stay alert; whatever we’re supposed to do now!)

Hello Ben and Peter! I know you're not fans of the term "gamer," but do you believe there are different levels of commitment to gaming such as a casual gamer versus a hardcore gamer? Whether you believe in these levels or not, do you think this concept of levels hurts or helps the industry and why/why not? Thank you so much for everything that you do, and much love from the USA to you both!

Hi Both, Hope you are both doing well, AC 3 put me off the entire AC franchise and almost Ubisoft in entirely until recently when My wife bought me AC Odyssey and BOY has it changed! I would say though I might have enjoyed it more because I didn’t pay for it. So bit of a two parter, Is there any game that has put you off an entire franchise? And did a later game ever you right back?
