Thank you all! I have yet to announce this page to the wider world, but between the people who know about it so far we've apparently already got some decent support, so here's looking forward to the next steps :D

Having passed the first "testing the waters" goal, we're now half way to the next, which is probably a bit more exciting since it'll involve a new level of interaction we haven't had before.

As written, patrons will get to collectively come up with a new item to add to Cogmind. Now obviously it's gotta fit with the gameplay, balance, and lore, but that honestly still leaves a ton of room for possibilities. So how it'll work is everyone can first brainstorm a bunch of ideas (most likely on the Discord but leaving comments in a new post I'll start here will work as well), and then they'll be whittled down to a shorter list where everyone can cast their vote for the one they want to see in game.

I have no doubt we've got some interesting times ahead :)

In other news, I've been assigning GSG forum badges to those who've signed up for them, and Cogmind also now has an in-game patron list coming to the next version:

(The list above is mostly composed of placeholder names just to test the scrolling.)

The process behind a UI update with some new particle effects wouldn't be complete without pretty failures, so here were some first script attempts...

They have their charm, but I think the list calls for a bit more... subtlety. That and readable names :P

More gifs with remarkable bugs in future please, they're always good :D

Hahaha, I will attempt to add more bugs in the future ;) Actually that's a good idea for a blog post one day--collect a bunch of gifs from over the years that demo various cool bugs.
