Development Update 53 (Patreon)

Hey guys,

I've got some good news for everyone, Mykock’s Part 2 is substantially complete and I am aiming to release it sometime next week. As before, the questions in the update will mirror a real life Patron poll. Only those on the Teacher (and above) tier can actually vote, although I will release it publicly so everyone can play. Compared to our main game the update is small, only about 6000 words and a couple of hundred images. However, it will be sexy and funny and well worth playing, even if you can't actually take part in the vote.

In my last development update, I said there probably wouldn't be another Mykock's Manor until after version 0.16. However, as I was working my way through the story-boarding for the next update, I found myself needing a new outfit for Miss Newman. Something for her to wear in the headmaster's office when disciplining the girls. Specifically, for Liz’s punishment system, however, there would be the option to have her wearing this outfit in other situations as well. Given how central a character Miss Newman is, I felt like this was an important decision, and exactly the kind of thing I should be asking you guys. Therefore, I spent the last week or so putting together a short special and accompanying poll, to try to help me figure out which option to go for. There were also a few unresolved issues from the previous poll, so it was helpful for me to get those wrapped up as well.

There will be five outfits to choose from, all of which are very different. However, as one of my team pointed out, some are more different than others, meaning there is the potential for votes to be split between similar options. Using simple “first past the post” polling might end up giving us a result that is only liked by a minority of people (as proven by the British political system). Patreon doesn't have inbuilt preferential voting. Therefore, I need to be very careful how to phrase my questions in order to get the answer that leaves the most people satisfied. I plan to get that all figured out over the next few days, and I will release the special sometime next week. You will get an email notification when it is ready.

Unlike the previous Mykock’s Manor special we will see the results of this one implemented quickly, as I plan to include the new outfit in version 0.16. To give everyone time to play the special I will let the poll run for a couple of weeks. I’ve got scenes to finish off for Samantha in the meantime. Then, once I have the new outfit decided for Sally I can finish off the new punishment scenes in the headmaster’s office and try to get version 0.16 wrapped up as soon as possible.
