Grimdark Poll Results and Final Sci Fi WIPs (Patreon)

The final Grimdark poll results are in!  There's a lot to unpack but before I get into that, here are the final WIPs I've worked in for Sci Fi Month.

So for Edgerunners, I made a diorama that's a variation of the braindance on the moon scene from the anime.  I tried posing them lying on the bed but that just looked weird.  So I thought why not do a variation after they share that moment. 🥰

I've found that She-Venom is one of those characters that looks deceptively simple to do but difficult to execute.   I've actually produced a lot of variations for her but few that I liked.  In the end, I went with some simple standing poses and a wall crawling pose.  

For her diorama, I went for a horror scene.  The movies really dial back the violence for the symbiotes when in the comics they're gobbling up redshirts like Chicken McNuggets so I thought I should probably capture that.  And I mentioned earlier this month I'd choose Moonstone for She-Venom to eat which is what I ended up doing.

So here's what's available next month:

• Kazuki Fuse machine gun pose (single version)
• Kazuki Fuse all the alternate poses (single and parts version)
• She-Venom standing pose (single version)

Important Note:

In December 2022, I won't be diving the items between Tier 2 and Tier 3 like usual.  I've given advanced warning to Tier 2 (Beholder) patrons but after December 31st, 2022, Tier 2 will be discontinued.  

The reason is starting in 2023, I want to simplify the releases so that Tier 3 and merchants get everything I make each month, period.  However, I appreciate all the support Beholders have given me so I will be giving them access to the full welcome pack and all of the December 2022 items as a final thank you for the support! 🤗

To simplify next month release, there will be one sync download link for December's 2022 items which I will post privately and both Tier 2 and Tier 3 will get the same MMF reward link.

The other tiers will not be removed.  There will be no changes to pledge amounts for them.  In fact, I will be adding some benefits to Tier 3 and merchants next year but I'll discuss that later. 

Okay, so this month's Grimdark results were a big one.  Based on the voting, here's what's happening in the next few months:

Wow, Alpharius Omegon eh?  Out of all the Primarchs, I thought they had the least chance of winning.  But I guess I underestimated how many agents of the Hyrda had infiltrated the community. 😅

I've never done an Artist Choice for Primarchs but I'm going to pencil in Rogal Dorn for March 2023.  Why?  Well, book readers know why. 😉 Also, he's one of my favourite of the bunch. 👍 I'll include the Legion of the Damned Legionnaire in March 2023 as well since it would be unfair to exclude him.  And of course I will continued to finish up the Big E vs Khorne diorama.

I'll also slot in Eisenhorn and Amberley into January 2023, Feburary's 2023 respectively.  The results were much stronger for them than I expected and I think I can kind of pass them off as Fantasy and Sci Fi Month characters.  Don't worry, I won't reduce the Fantasy and Sci Fi Month content because of this.  

Onto the Xenos side.  The Nightbringer wins by a clear margin so I'll definitely include it next month.  

Y'know I really thought the Harlequins would have won by now.  But some contender always comes out to pull the upset.   I'll slot the Harlequin Solitaire in for next month but he probably won't be released until March 2023.  

I've noticed the Orks and Tyranids never get anything close to the top spot and I've tried a lot of variations each Grimdark Month.  Not sure how I can make them more appealing. 🤷‍♂️

Anyways, that's it for Sci Fi Month.  Hope everyone enjoyed what came out of it!  Now I'm off to execute a plan so complicated, Tzeentch will ask what the hell is going on.  Hydra Dominatus! 🐍
