The Fantasy poll results are in!  Before I discuss that, here's one final update!  

So certain community members may have picked up on my disdain for Abaddon.  I've read a fair amount of books he appears in, and to me at least he comes off as less of a brilliant commander/warrior worthy of Horus' mantle and more of an overpowered cartoon villain with way too much plot armor.  

Saturnine actually raised my opinion of Abaddon a teensy bit because he at least suffered some consequences for harebrained decisions.  But I refuse to drink the Kool-Aid that his 13 Crusades are brilliant strategies designed to gradually weaken the Imperium like the angry company has been insisting for years.  I'm pretty sure humanity would have shot themselves in the foot anyways.  And from what I can tell, his strategies just involve chucking large objects at points of interest.  So no, I don't care how many named characters they let him kill to up his street cred.  They never set up the ground work to convince me he's badass.  

I'll admit I'm very biased against the Despoiler and my favourite characters in the setting also receive huge dollops of plot armor (looking at you, Loken).  But in the grand scheme of things I still think Abaddon sucks and in my opinion should have been demoted to this after like the fifth or sixth of the his thirteen tries.

Okay, rant over.  The point is, I'm going to give Eldar fans something to cheer about because Emperor knows the angry company never will.  Also it was a cathartic exercise for me.  So here's a pose of Khaine shish kebab-ing one of the characters in 40K I respect the least (and you know, letting Khaine win for once).  It's not much of a victory, but you've got to start somewhere. 😄

And yes, he comes with a version with no arms.  

All right, onto the poll results.  

So it looks like Alucard takes the top spot followed by Firelord Azula and the Bloodborne Hunter.  Nice, I'm wanted to try Alucard for a bit now.  I'm glad the results were also pretty clear cut this month as well.  Raistlin Majere will also be part of the characters in July because I want to say I've actually done a traditional wizard. 😄

Fulgrim's attack pose is technically two poses.  I made one version where he's leaning forward more because I couldn't decide on which one was best.  Also, I got a request to convert Fulgrim's shooting pose to a 'idle' pose so I did that for the parts version.  

So, I did make some very minor progress with the Big E vs Khorne diorama but nothing worth showing.  I've found I spend much more time including additional options that community members want.  I'm perfectly fine with that but it just means this diorama will progress a lot more slowly.  

Anyways, that's it for the Grimdark characters this month!  Hope you enjoyed what came out of it.  Okay, time to look into the half vampire that's not related to that other setting I did. 😄
