She's The Best and She Knows It. (Grimdark Month WIP) (Patreon)

Hello!
The ladies of Grimdark month are ready to debut! First, there's Lelith Hesperax of the Cult of Strife, and the undisputed champion of Commorragh's gladiatorial arenas. Lelith is the Dark Eldar's most elite fighter and one of the deadliest warriors in 40K period. She has the distinction of never losing a duel and can run circles around most Space Marine champions. All Eldar think they're superior to humanity (and any other race) but Lelith might be the only one who isn't talking out of her ass. When her fans ask if she could take on that Mon-keigh Abbaddon, Lelith laughs and remarks he couldn't even beat Eldrad who is literally turning into crystal and now he has no arms. Apparently, her main goal is to capture Lucius the Eternal so she can duel him without his bullshit cheat code armour. I plan on demonstrating what a low bar I think that is for her character.
Onto the Commissar! Commissars are political officers attached to Imperial Guard regiments and tasked with maintaining troop moral. They are technically out of the chain of command and have the authority to dispense punishments to anyone, be it a lowly guardsman or the Lord Commander themself.
Now, chances are, if your Commissar's name isn't Gaunt or Cain, they've done their fair share of team killing. This is because regiments often incur horrific casualties in every engagement and guardsmen often succumb to terror, become disobedient or even revolt. Remember, the enemies of the Imperium are endless and usually superior compared to the average Guardsman (Necron technology is so ridiculously overpowered it's basically magic.) The point is, Guardsmen experience some pretty messed up stuff so it's natural that morale becomes an issue.
To maintain discipline, the Commissar will take any necessary steps to punish the transgressor which usually means shooting a guardsman for dereliction of duty. This isn't always because of cowardice. Sometimes a commanding officer gets too gung ho and the Commissar will shoot them for wasting guardsmen and resources. But yeah, it's usually because a guardsman is fleeing the battlefield because a Nob just mangled the entire squad.
You're average Commissar is a steely eyed terror but a Commissar Lord is the scariest of the bunch. They've seen the worst, punched them in the proverbial balls and come back for more. If a Commissar Lord is attached to your regiment, bring extra pairs of diapers. If you're from the Death Korps of Krieg, ignore everything I just said.
Poses will come next so stay tuned!
