To Battle! (Fantasy WIP) (Patreon)

First up, we have Akroma, an angel created to avenge the death of a loved one. I read her backstory but as with so many MTG proxies I've worked on, her bio makes little sense without wider context so I'll just stick to the visuals. Akroma is called the Angel of Wrath but uh, I never got the impression that she was particularly wrathful in her concept art. Actually, the more I studied her primary pose, the more I thought she looked vaguely appalled.

Appalled at what? Who knows, but I came up with a couple of ideas. 🤔Anyways, I'll try and give her an actual 'wrathful' pose later this month. Next up is a monster I've been working on for that epic Red Sonja diorama! So one thing I've noticed is Red Sonja often fights giant mythical beasts and a popular/recurring type is the monstrous snake.

So I'm going to do my take on that archetype and have her duking it out with an absolutely giant version (like the kind that can swallow a fighter whole). 😱

Speaking of Red Sonja, I've worked out one pose for her with an even more epic one planned. But here's the initial version where she just charging into battle, ready to absolutely eviscerate everything that gets in her way!

I've also been working on the Fairy diorama but haven't got anything to show at the moment as there are a lot of moving parts. But I have got a bunch of woodland creatures lined up including birds, squirrels, Daisy (bunnies) and a bear. A community member suggested including a bird bath which I really liked so I'll be adding that. 👍

Sci Fi polling will be up in a couple of days! Just a reminder, this month I'll be trying a slight tweak on the formula by making this month's polling faction based and see if the community likes that.

So here's the general idea: Do you remember the Marvel vs Capcom arcade games? Or the Smash Brothers party series? Well, it's going to kind of like that where the poll suggestions are centered around a versus theme. Here are a couple of examples (not actual poll suggestions, just examples):

• Brotherhood of Steel Knight vs Killzone Soldier

• Mega Man vs SCP-682

• Spider Man vs Omni Man

• Zelda vs Godzilla

• Deadpool vs Wolverine (real original, I know)

• Solid Snake vs Kirby

But you get the idea. It's basically Random Faction character vs other Random faction character. I have a couple of ideas for specific factions but community members have a faction they want covered, please let me know. It doesn't have to be mainstream, and the vs doesn't even have to make sense or be realistic, it's just a gimmick. If you have a completely made up faction, that's fine too. Anything you think would be interesting will be a viable option. Thanks!
