Jokes aside - sorry for missing the deadline. v0.2.3 will be out in the first week of May, and I'll be much more disciplined with next month's release date.

To keep you in the loop, I hit a couple of roadblocks this update... I usually do, actually, but these were far more time-consuming than my contingency allowed for. Basically, I upgraded to the latest public build of Daz3D (the program where I create and render my images) and it caused a conflict with one of my assets. Unfortunately, that asset was the Drill-Sergeant's tank-top - appearing in over 200 of the update pics - and every one of those renders saw it appearing with giant, ragged holes that I had to paint in by hand in Photoshop. (See the attachments below for an example of the problem). That's all done now, but it took up a huge amount of time - and counts as the only point that I've not wildly enjoyed making SpaceCorps. Fortunately, I'm now well into the writing and editing of those scenes, and finishing off the last renders of the next Hell fantasy! 😈

Many apologies again, and I hope you'll think it was all worth it when the update appears in a few days.

Thanks for all your hard work! I have no doubt that it will pay off! I hope you do some self care hahah!

............... I got too distracted with the arson and pillaging so I missed the orgy........*sigh*

Fixing stuff in photoshop while it should be rendered correctly in DAZ in the first place is no way of living. Try to adjust the cloth parameters.

RanliLabz

Thanks guys! Your understanding is hugely appreciated 😀

It was appalling 😱 All these tight, transparent clothes on bespoke characters need a little touch-up... but never anything like this! I quickly found it actually took longer going into each file to fix the parameters instead of doing a paintjob... and that's not even accounting for redoing the renders! (HangarBay01 is a 1.5-2 hour run per image even on the Beast) I've done a test fixing her top for future renders - so hopefully this is the last time I'll experience this particular horrorshow. Until the next Daz upgrade, anyway! 😂

Maybe instead of saving work into hundreds of independent files you can save it into poses/animations in one file? Also, 2 hours in iRay per image?! Or you’re using a different renderer that relies more on CPU?

RanliLabz

No - all off the GPU (I think these scenes would have exploded the CPU!) The assets I’ve used are especially resource intensive in this scene (particularly the hangar bay setting itself). I should have used better lighting at the start to cut that down, really. I tend to avoid using one file for multiple images - I’ve made too many mistakes with key frames in the past. I find animate fairly ropey, esp. when it comes to genitalia changes being unintentionally copied between frames. I am practicing on animate, tho (last goal promise, lol) - so hopefully I’ll be able to use your advice :)

To be fair if anyone was going to tear their shirt and burst out of it she was the one! :)

I dont think there is anywhere safe I could run and hide from her wrath!
