So glad you watched the version with the right translations. Pretty much every reactor I watch ended up watching the “Malevolent Kitchen” translation. I don’t know what translator thought it was a good idea to change it to that.

Um death is not fair because yeah we all die, but the how, when, where, and why are just as important

did you just hear one part of what I said and ignore all the parts where I challenged my own thought and said exactly what you're commenting?

Something crazy to think about, an animator who worked on this episode said it was only 30% finished due to the hellish schedule put on them by Mappa and Toho.

What an episode... MY GOD!! So many emotions were in this episode like I was spechless during my first watch because I couldn't believe what the staff was able to do in such a short amount of time... Bless those people who worked for this episode because they delivered in most of the parts ofc we had some bad looking scene here and there where we can see that they really didn't had enough time to finish it properly. One of the best JJK episode like THIS is gonna be hard to top it (for awhile). P.S Yes one of my favorite scene in this episode was Itadori's reaction to destruction that Sukuna did by end of the episode even if I don't really like him that much... the VC did fantastic job here (Itador's).

Hi Kayla, I agree with you, that reaction from Itadori was a 10/10 moment for me. I actually moved the overall score for the season lower for the past few episodes as I felt they weren't as strong as the first ones. The re-entering of Sukuna and his fight with Jogo in the last couple of episodes felt a bit unnecessary. But that last scene with Itadori gave relevance back again to what these last few episodes were building up to. It comes back around full circle for me, it was amazing! 👏👏 About how the intro song was used in that final scene, I don't understand the lyrics so could not comment on the "mocking tone" but I felt that the song was used as an intentional contrast. The song was an upbeat one with a menacing tone, which is such a strong contrast to the aftermaths of killing and devastation we see at the same time on screen. I feel that this contrast was placed there strategically to make us feel disturbed and uncomfortable (in the same way as sometimes children music is used in scenes in horror films), to give us that sense of unease, the same unease we feel by the fact that Sukuna is still living in Itadori's body. If they made a choice to go with a more silent sombre tone to highlight the devastation, I think it would have worked as well (Itadori's reaction alone is more than enough!). Thank you for the amazing reaction, as always! 😍
