Nice that we're back in the timeline with Index, seeing the same event through different perspectives. What was that thing Accelerator was chewing? Yeah, that was Misaka's finger. I forgot why he was even doing it, but it was pretty messed up and importantly illustrated how even this experiment is affecting Accelerator's mental state. The graphic nature of this arc is all in the Index novels, and it really shows how toned down the anime was. Railgun is doing the Sisters arc justice and you can bet Raildex fans were happy. I mean the Sisters arc was the best of the Index S1 anime, but it still lacked something. Tension? Idk how to explain it, but it lacked something that Railgun certainly has in it's visual storytelling compared to Index.

I think the "stakes" are definitely higher now that we're seeing it from Misaka's perspective and getting context for everything that went down "back then" in Index S1

To clear up your confusion about Mugino at the end. She was basically seeking for answers as to why Misaka was so willing to destroy the facility she was getting paid to protect. When she found out that Misaka destroyed the facility because her own clones where being killed off in an experiment she knew that info would be useful to Item considering they're an organization that works for the dark side of academy city. As for why she does nothing afterwards is because she obviously despises Misaka and wants to see her suffer from the repercussions of the experiments.

I don't want people to tell me what is or is not coming in future episodes please :) I ask questions out loud as part of the reaction/review process - for y'all to see what I'm thinking and hoping for. That doesn't mean I'm explicitly asking to be told what is going to happen or w/e. You're a new patron, so you might not know that about me. But I often say that my questions are rhetorical. If I want something answered for real, I'd ask a mod or the show's sponsor. But usually I like being surprised about things and I just ask questions out loud for the viewers' benefit.
