Ada Wong takes a breather from the chaos of Raccoon City -- as long as there's a typewriter somewhere in the room, she should be safe.

It's here early.
This piece took about twice the amount of time as my average piece to complete, partly because I was exploring a few new techniques, and figuring out the best ways to achieve what I was looking for.
I already explained quite a bit of my initial thoughts in the lineart post earlier, so the coloring was just building on top of that foundation; once the lineart was done, I moved on to coloring the background. I wanted to save coloring Ada for last, since I didn't want to finish her, and then rush the background; instead I took my time in coloring out all the little details, and trying my best to convey shadows.
Once the background was done, Ada was pretty straightforward. I'm constantly improving on painting skin, and I'm really happy with the direction it's going so far; conveying the subtle nuances of the muscles in her arm, or the tendons in her right foot, is fun, and the result is so much more realistic. As always, painting the feet is a big priority, and I'm happy with that as well; there are subtle things I wanted to do, to convey that Ada was actually wearing heels, as opposed to, say, socks and boots. These considerations lead to slightly-different color choices that can make a big difference.
If you prefer sock variants, sorry -- this time, we're doing pantyhose instead, as it's simply what Ada wears. Of course, there's the usual dirty variants that many of you like so much.
Please let me know what you think -- I love to hear from you!
