So I feel bad about not really having given you guys much early content recently. SO. For you, earlier than everyone else will get to see it: time for another vlog! This one answering a really vague hair question. It also gives me a chance to talk about my secret love of YouTube tutorials and hair forks. So s'all good. :)

How do you do your hair, Jill?

"Your hair! How do you do it?" I attempt to answer this pretty vague question with useful advice about wood combs and mechanical damage and updos and hair forks.

The more I think about it, the more this thing about exercise doesn't make sense. Yes, you increase blood flow when you exercise, but all that extra blood is very efficiently shunted to your muscles. The scalp isn't exactly essential so it wouldn't surprise if blood flow to that area stayed constant or even went down. Heat radiated from the heat is primarily through the ears, not the scalp. Clearly we need a clinical study.
