Someone posted about this on Reddit, so I figured I could share the presentation kit produced for Flying Lab's 2000 attempt to make an X-Com style Delta Green video game 24 years ago. (Keep in mind in 2000, these graphics were pretty darn good...it was a LONG time ago).

Flying Lab were wonderful partners with great ideas, and the game was a fantastic mix of X-Com and distorted sanity mechanics (kind of like Eternal Darkness).  But alas, no publishers bit, and the project was cancelled.

The video game license has been recently re-issued to another company (though not exclusively), but I long ago learned that video games/tv/movies exist in the realm of dust and shadows (sometimes indefinitely) until they actually exist...or not.

For instance, did you guys know that in that same year (2000), Gale Anne Hurd (co-creator of the Terminator) optioned Delta Green for television? Instead, we got the horrific teen sci-fi "drama"...Roswell.

So it goes!

A glimpse into development hell, where ideas go to die...

Can we get a good photo/scan of that Insect from Shaggai x-ray image? I can see that being very useful.

It's actually transparent, so I'll have to photograph it on a light board. I'll give it a shot!

Do you remember the artist who did those sketches? I have no idea who that was!

I probably know the answer, but since the project has been canceled, and even if a new one ever comes out, it will be rebuilt from the ground up, is it possible to release the source code on Git Hub or the demo of the pre-alpha? I saw a cd from there and it would be fun to see how it works.
