Situation update 2023-11-18 (Patreon)

Hello everyone!

First of all, thanks everyone for the kind words and the support!

I'm going to make it short. I've been staying with my parents for 3 weeks in preparation for my dad's operation to remove the cancer. His operation was two days ago and it went very well. He needs to stop working for 3 months but he's already in a pretty decent shape. We brought him back home yesterday and he's basically able to move around without any assistance, albeit slowly and carefully. He needs to be careful with the wounds while getting up and sitting down.

As for me, the change of environment did not help. I wasn't really able to make a significant amount of progress beyond a few things here and there. So, I'll be going back home tomorrow and I'm going to try and rush out the rest of the video in one big productive week. I've also decided to scale down a few of the ideas I had that were using manim to do complex data visualizations. I'm going to stick to more basic stuff. It's a bit disappointing but I was feeling overwhelmed and I ultimately decided that putting out something decent and moving on was better than being stuck on this project, determined to finish something great but unable to. Besides, there's one more video I'd like to make before the end of the year, and if I want to do that, I need to finish up this one quick.

So for now that's it, I'll be able to give more news in about a week, about progress, what's left and the release date. Thanks everyone again and you can expect the video to be out before the end of the month!
