It's an interesting design choice, having the entire game narrated. It's also a bit... much, at times.

Pro-tip, you can reduce the frequency or silence the commentary altogether before it drives you mad.

What game is this?

In response to something you wrote in your comment to the comic strip in the actual CAD website. "It’s not a triple-A title, and it’s not quite going to send shockwaves through the industry, but it’s an enjoyable game that’s got a vibe all its own." This reminds my of Outward. I'm so glad you made a comic strip about the game back on April 3rd 2019, because that's how i found out about that game. I hardly ever make several playthroughs of a game nowadays, but i the past 2 years i have sunk about 220 hours in Outward, over 3 playthroughs and i'm planning to do a 4th. It's in my top 5 games of the generation. It's also a game that can't be summed up with a single review score, it's something unique and special. It's a game that isn't for everyone, most people will hate it, but if it's a game for you, if you fall into its (narrow) target audience, then it's really magical. Edit: Typo fix

Yes, Outward would be an apt comparison. Not for gameplay, but for the TYPE of game. As an example of a game that may not score perfectly in every technical aspect we usually see on a review scorecard, but can still be an immensely entertaining experience. I think Biomutant has elements that are worth enjoying, despite its shortcomings.
