HF Patch for KKS v1.11 (mods up to 2023/05/10) (Patreon)

An unofficial patch for Koikatsu Sunshine with fan-made English translations and essential mods. It will allow you to load all character cards and scenes and give you countless content creation and gameplay improvements while still keeping the original, uncluttered feel of the game. All content is tested and fixed (or removed) as needed before each update, providing a stable platform for further modding. HF Patch can also repair many common issues, try it if you have issues.

Koikatsu can be split into two parts: character and scene creation tools (character maker and Studio), and an adventure game with story mode (it can use your custom characters, but not scenes). You can see preview videos of the game and some of the mods here.

HF Patch does not contain the full game, paid expansions or any other pirated content. You have to buy the game and expansions separately. You can buy the Japanese version on DMM (English/Steam release not announced yet). You can watch a guide on how to buy and install games from DMM here.

The base game (Koikatsu Sunshine), and by extension this patch are not suitable for minors. If you are under 18 years old you can not use this patch. The base game and this patch contain only characters of age 18 or higher. The creator of this patch is not responsible for creations of its users and prohibits any unlawful use of this software.

Downloads

This download contains the entire HF Patch and can be used offline. You can use qBittorrent or a similar torrent client to open the magnet link.

Full patch (Everything is included, most people should use this)

Light patch (Small size, only use if you regularly update with KKManager)

Read before installing

  • Before installing check this installation guide and FAQ.
  • If you have problems with installing the patch, check the solutions to common issues and the rest of the readme.
  • The EX expansion is entirely optional and can be skipped. It adds 4 new personalities with new type of events unique to them (old characters can't use these events). You can buy the expansion here (and here's a guide).
  • If you need any further help check the wiki first, and if that doesn't help then ask in the #help channel of the Koikatsu Discord server. The #help channel is the fastest way to get help, you can even search it for your issue to see if someone already answered it. There are also chat and card sharing channels on the server!
  • To keep the download size reasonable, some rarely used and very old content mods or studio mods might not be included. If you have trouble loading characters or scenes, you can download the missing mods by clicking on the Update button in the game's launcher.

That one had issues with destroying game performance so it's kind of in a naughty list. There might be something similar in the future but it's not planned at the moment.

When I changed from v1.8 to v1.10, the mod changed in a different way.I uninstalled and tried again, same result. Up to v1.8 it's fine and v1.9 and v1.10 will change.

Hello. Thank you for all your great patches.I have just applied the full patch for the first time in a while and am experiencing the following problem. Can you please advise which plugin is affecting this? The texture specified in the material editor for the tongue is not applied only in the H scene.In the character creation screen, etc., they are applied without any problem. Sorry if this is a known issue.

KKPregnancy is not ported yet. Preg+ only adds sliders to maker until KKPregnancy is ported, then the two will work together (it should be ported by the next patch).

chara cards dont load in properly and not seeing the additional outfits options or any differences from the base game. im sure i downloaded the patch correctly unless i made a mistake

Is the game in English? If not then move the game to a directory like D:\KKS and try again. Importing KK cards is going to be a hit and miss at this point since not everything is ported.

The startup time will be longer with the patch, especially on first run after installing and if you have a slow HDD.

Thanks, Marco! New supporter here. So grateful for everything you do! Also, is anyone else having some clothing anomalies after the HF Patch? My favorite dress (Mimi Top) has it's front ribbon draped all the way to the ground. There are a few other clothing items that also have features dragged to the ground with the patch. I'm assuming these can be individually updated later through the HF patching process...? Oh, and the search option in the clothing window is gone, so there's no way to search for a specific item, like "Mimi Top."

To fix the clothes issue try installing the KKS version of this plugin manually, watch for warnings on game start https://github.com/IllusionMods/ModBoneImplantor/releases/tag/v1.1.1 If that doesn't help then it might be an issue in the modpack. The search plugin will be added in the next version.

Running into an issue where characters with vanilla accessories save and load into completely unrelated modded accessories. This specifically happens when saving and loading a game playthrough. There is no issue in the character creation.

Hi all, I hate to criticize but could you ask the ppl doing the translations to really pay attention to their pronouns? I know its hard to get pronouns right because of the structure of Japanese but the constant incorrect pronoun reversal in the translations is so irritating that I just am taking the translations out and doing them myself using DeepL. And I hate reinventing the wheel. Sorry for the rant but one more reference to your [the players] tits and my [the girls] cock and I'm going to go postal. :-)

I ran into issues with the hair not moving properly and the breasts won’t jiggle during h seances and while you are talking to them, is there a fix for this

Sometimes when I transition into Hscenes in the story it ends up in an eternal loading state. How do I fix this? Also, is there a way to disable BetterPenetration? It's acting kinda weird for me.

I know this is definetly far-stretched, but is it possible to have a setting where girls that approach you to talk, automatically puts you into conversation screen? This is something I miss from the old game that made it easier for me to play it since I also multitask on my pc

I'm sad to see that 3D capture has been removed from the new VideoExport... If it's possible, I'd like to see the ability to capture 3D video via Screenshot Manager as in the old version of VideoExport. If possible, please bring back the ability to capture 3D videos via Screenshot Manager, like the old VideoExport. I know that not many people need this feature, but I use it a lot. After installing this most recent HF patch I'm having an issue where nothing happens when I click on some popup windows. Nothing happens when I click on OK for returning to room, checking out a character from the Booking screen, or even returning to the title screen. Exit game still works though.

Greetings, I inform you, the problem occurs with pubic hair accessories. But after doing a lot of testing, I discovered that the problem arises when the girls use different accessories in the bottom and underwear sets. I solved it by homologating the same type of accessory in those sections. With AccStateSync, I never had that problem (whatever the accessories were), although it is a bit more cumbersome to use. Not sure, it might be normal, maybe she's just really into it. You can try reducing some of the sliders at the bottom of game settings and see if that affects anything.

I tried to get Sunshine, but the Japanese site throws me off, even with browser translation. Just too complicated for my pea brain. Guess I wait for it on Steam or some other english site. I did watch your video, but sadly it doesn't work like the actual site, with them not taking overseas credit cards, the whole point purchase thing is too tricky. Many of the buttons won't translate, so I can't tell what to press. Thanks for the mods, though. I'm sure they are as good as all your other stuff!

I have a question about the HF patch. I downloaded the game from steam applied the patch. My question is, can I run the kkmanager app and update safely? When I run kkmanager it is telling me I am missing some updates. Can I run kkmanager and safely update plugins and such? Or should I wait for an updated HF patch?

There's a good chance of it being on steam but no one knows when. In the end it won't really matter what version of the game you'll get so you might as well get the Japanese version now. The steam ver might be a bit cheaper with the expansion included though.

After I installed this, if I try to edit a KK card in KKS it messes them up. Looking at the KK discord, it seems to be an issue some other people have had as well, people said the ABMX data isn't kept. Is there any way to fix this?

The servers are region-locked to Japan, you need a good VPN to use them, and you can't upload cards from a modded game. Check the wiki linked in the post for a list of card sharing websites.
