The next Best of the Worst will be out next week. In the meantime, here's a preview of the three movies we watched. Any guesses?

(and yes, the third image is almost indecipherable but it will all make sense when the episode is out)

The final image looks like the tarp cave from Suburban Sasquatch with a pink light thrown on it

Helena

If it's not a shakma sequel, I'm hoping it's a movie I saw a million years ago called MONKEY SHINES

Manuel Johnen

The only other killer baboon flick I know of is "In the Shadow of Kilimanjaro"... that one is probably not quite bad enough... Also, considering that baboon is wearing a bathrobe or something I'm also going with the Duncan Jax sequel...

Shakmaaaaaa!

Manuel Johnen

Also, I'm a fucking liar, the 1999 Made-for-TV-mvie "Primal Force" with Ron Perlman has killer baboons, too...

#2 Unmasking the Idol? #3 There's a garbage-bag background... Tales from Genesis Space 2?

Dan Loeb

The idea of a killer baboon movie where he ravages a city with a baboon sized tank is now all I want in life

Tony P.

#2 Is "Unmasking the Idol" (Duncan Jax)

I've been staring into Shakma's beady eyes for ten minutes now and I'm tripping balls.

def another Dunkin' Jax movie in the works

JTruts

Shaakma II - The Revenge. This time it's personal.

Stephen Struble

Twist: the sequel to the Duncan Jax movie is actually a prequel to Shakma in which the baboon becomes violent due to PTSD of blowing people up with his tiny tank.

Matthew Riley

Hopefully Typhoon the Baboon takes his rightful place with Leo Fong and Cameron Mitchell in the Best of the Worst pantheon of gods.

That monkey's wearing a bathrob. That's gotta be Duncan Jax in the middle. Based on the description I'm thinking the 3rd is another Deaundra Brown classic

I looked up Shakma on IMDb; the baboon, named Typhoon, also stars in The Order of the Black Eagle. So I'm guessing you're going through Typhoon's ouvre and you're watching Unmasking the Idol, another Duncan Jax flick.

Mike Charavell JR

At first I thought "didn't they already do Shakma?" Then I remembered Duncan Jax. Stumped on the other two but from what I know about the caliber of film on BOTW I'm ok with that.

Manuel Johnen

I just now realized that the purple picture on the right is showing the back of a head... XD

Oh shit! The third image isn't from Robowoman is it??? One of my favourites!

Shakma: the Reckoning

Third image looks like some lady’s red hair with a purple, organic looking dome which she is inside.

adorned_in_thorns

Omg, what will the baboon drive this time??

Marvin Falz

I give up. The third image is almost indecipherable, it's fun to guess something like "it's certainly not Kirk in a wig." Even the cheap TOS sets looked far better than what seems to be hair in front of a violet aluminum foil cave wall. I had to think of "What are Little Girls Made Of," but Andrea's hair has no strands, and the cave walls seem to be made of foam. -- The baboon is probably from Unmasking the Idol (according to the release date, it's the first Duncan Jax movie). -- But this is driving me crazy. I am certain that I know the face of the woman, but I can't figure it out, where I have seen her. I thought I had seen her in an episode of Frasier. Well, since I can't find her in picture searches, I give up.

After my comment above I went and checked and yep, I'm 99% sure the third image is Robowoman. It gives Vampire Assassin a run for its money in the cheap/embarrassing/hilarious stakes, which is appropriate because Mel Novak is in both. At 60-ish minutes I definitely recommend watching it before BOTW next week (it's on Tubi in my country if that helps?)

Anonymous

Is the third image from the David Wascavage alien abduction movie? Please let it be/don't let it be the David Wascavage alien abduction movie.

Anonymous

Very excited for more Duncan Jax.

Michael Parker

Speaking of baboons. Shakma is the second Best of the Worst movie I've seen show up Shudder. The other one I think was Hack -o-Lantern. I guess I could always see how bad or so-bad-they're-good these movies are for myself.

Anonymous

For some reason I feel like that last frame is from the Lorenzo Lamas film Thralls aka Blood Angel.

Anonymous

I wonder if I’m the only person here that likes Zack Snyder both as a person and a filmmaker

Anonymous

he only has one good movie under his belt and that's dawn of the dead so yeah probably

Anonymous

That last picture looks like more blue tarp...

Anonymous

Do I see a Shakma sequel ?

Anonymous

Shakma's return!

Nick Cameron

The blue tarp in picture 3 makes so much more sense now!

Nick Cameron

Also, I must be watching too many YouTube videos. My first thought reading these comments was “Shakma when the walls fell”!
