Hey everyone. The Christmas episode of Best of the Worst is coming this weekend. Attached is a preview of the three movies we watched.  They were all...garbage. Soon after that goes up, there will also be a behind the scenes video made by Mack and Shawn. We're also shooting a quick little "Talks About" video pretty soon about the new Ghostbusters trailer. Remember Ghostbusters??

To be honest... that Ghostbusters trailer really got to me. Really well done. I watched the fan event a couple of months ago, where Jason Reitman said he made this new one for his father... and I don't know... that really seemed legit.

So if Ghostbusters 2016 was a reboot, but it failed so now they are reviving the original Ghostbusters canon for Ghostbusters 2020, does that make it a 'deboot'? will that be the thing for the 2020s? Debooting all the reboots of the 2000s and 2010s? maybe they can also de-make all the remakes?

Merry Christmas Guys. Last weekend I showed my kids ‘Home Alone’ (they enjoyed it). A day or so later they saw me watching a ‘Half in the Bag’ and both of them were convinced that Mike and Jay were ‘The Wet Bandits’ from the movie.

Stuff about the new Ghostbuster trailer has been all over my social media feed, which would normally annoy me since Ghostbusters as a franchise is something that should have been buried a long time ago (love the movies, even the second one, but never got the appeal of it as a franchise), but it seems to have effectively drowned out much of Baby Yoda so I am currently okay with it.

Ghostbusters is not Ghostbusters without New York. The city was a character. We'll never get Peter, Ray and Egon together again but the very least they could give us is Peter, Ray and Winston reuniting in NYC to crack jokes while training a new team to fight ghosts. Afterlife looks like Bumblebee meets Stranger Things. 80's nostalgia without the characters is not Ghostbusters.

I don't think it strictly needs to be NYC, but the gritty sophistication of NYC contrasted with naive Columbia Professors contrasted with the cartoony ghost camp humor of the movie was a magical combination it would be hard to pull off without all of those things.
