Great reView (and outtakes) for ST:TMP - like Mike I found this film boring as a kid, but have grown to really like it - not mentioned, but I also like all the splitframe diopter shots in it - they don't use that much in modern films

Why do I get the feeling that the BotW episode with Macaulay Culkin is going to be the Christmas episode?

I think its interesting how distinct each of the original 6 Star Trek films are from each other - it is a bit like a cross section of the shows, where episodes can vary quite a bit in terms of tone, genre, pace, style etc. TMP, TUC, & VH are all so different from each other, but each great in their own way.

How cool is it that the movie takes time to emphasize how cool and freaky that a starship in the future can go into warp? I've got friends that will bust my balls over it but I really appreciated that shit.
