Haha - I saw Covenant in the UK yesterday and hated it. One of the first things i thought (other than annoyance) is "i cant wait for the HiTB review of it"!

Alien: Covenant is honestly the worst, I loved the first three alien movies, and even Prometheus I liked alot despite gaping flaws, But Covenant is just an ugly, muddy mess, and even betrays a lot of what was set up in prometheus..

Sorry to hear it's awful. This series could have been so good, but they've biffed the donkey more and more with each movie beyond the 2nd. I wanted them to reach earth, with besieged cities fighting off swarms of facehuggers. I'd like to see Newt as a badass alien hunter amid a world where you can never be sure you've gotten all the nests. Oh well, at least I can look forward to the HitB about it.

It's not awful, there's a lot to dislike about it, but for the most part it's an enjoyable soft reboot. CGI aliens suck though, one of them reminds me of the things from I am Legend
