This episode did not go how I wanted it to at all. This breaks my heart.

Last reaction: “I really want Toko and Yasu to see each other again”. Be careful what one wishes for. But on a more serious note. This episode broke my heart as well :-( Hopefully Toko finds real happiness again soon

Remember when doffy said back in sabaodys arc “smile its the age of smiles”

Judging by the thumbnail, I'm guessing it hit you like a ton of bricks.

Quick side note: Holdem actually fighting Ashura was anime filler. Holdem just set the forest ablaze and dipped, they never met

Yep the smile devil fruit reveal ended on this exact cliffhanger in the manga too. I remember people speculating the specifics of how it causes you to only smile when we've seen a ton of smile devil fruit users not be like this at all. Even with this limited info it's really sad to see Toko being forced to hysterically laugh right when her dad died in front of her. It's bad enough she had to experience that, but she can't even express sadness in that situation. Knowing this info now, it gives a new perspective on the earlier episodes with Toko and the villagers laughing.

Man, I can't wait for you to see why Oden is respected so much and just how big of a legend he is.

I hope you can change the subtitle line to another cuz it's blinded me I can't focus with sub+episode+your reaction :(

Great reaction! Next episode will be very informative for you. RIP Yasu, he purposely got caught to reset everything back to 0

This is where it gets really exciting from here on out 😁

As a manga reader, I think they’re doing this section very, very well - I think even better in many ways (especially emotionally) than in the manga even. Few weird parts are the oden/scabbard silhouettes but it’s really well done otherwise

You'll soon find out the secret behind SMILES.....Orochi is even worse than you think.

this episode gave us Kaido's best sounding "Wororororo" laugh yet

I'm a devoted manga reader so it's been a really long time since I last cried watching an OP episode but this one really got me tearing so hard. I was devastated when I first read about Yasu's execution in the manga too. I didn't want to believe such an important figure could die. I was even theorising that he somehow survived and will be shogun after the war with Kaido and train Momo to be ready for it once he is of age. But when you think about it, after the things that he said on the stand, there was no scenario Yasu could come out alive. Yasu gave his life to reset the plan and to discredit Orochi in his men's eyes. If any of them made it on time to save him, even if it's Sanji in stealth suit, it would reconfirm Orochi's fear of the rebellion. Thus that would essentially undo everything Yasu just risked his life for. I think it's just amazing how Oda can write a character with so little screen time and can still make him out to be such a great and influential man. Not even speaking of Oden, Yasu in the last episode has already certified himself to be so much bigger of a man than Orochi and Kaido.

Yeah I am a manga reader too and not a fan of this cliffhanger. Explaining the details would have rounded this episode/chapter up imo

@AllonaShareeTV Have you heard the recent updates over Netflix's One Piece Live Action Adaptation? So far it seems like Cole Sprouce (Suite Life of Zack and Cody, Riverdale), and Emily Rudd (The Romanoffs) as Sanji and Nami. They are followed by the director and the One Piece instagram page for the Netflix Live action One Piece, and are Following each other. They also have been posting photos of them posing and dressing like the characters.
