I like shooting from a ladder, with the model flat on the floor.
This way I eliminate gravity from the equation, the poses are not dictated by the need to stand, the softer parts of the body take a whole new shape, the muscles contracts or relax in a whole new way, and you loose the sense of what is "upright".

Also the backgrounds are changing dramatically, because they end up very close to the body and because we are less familiar with floor surfaces.
Tile, carpets or parquet look great when paired with the naked model.

I still have to find the girl that really manages to impress me un the floor, even if I'm always asking for suffering poses, but each and every one of them is giving a personal interpretation to the horizontal position...

Something worth exploring whenever you have a ladder or an elevated point of view at your disposal.
