The idea of theme and variations is popular in classical music, think about Bach’s Goldberg Variations BWV 988, where you start with an Aria, followed by 30 different interpretations.

Something similar happens in photography, where you start with a general idea (let’s play with this couch) and from that you build up a sequence of pictures, adding new cues along the way, either coming from the photographer or the model.

This is how I generally work with my models, improvising on what the location is offering.
And this is the idea behind my new MYM profile:

Braking down my creative process and showing the pictures to you.
I don’t believe in single masterpieces, I prefer to represent the continuous creative workflow.
You will not see every single picture I have shot, just the selected few that made it through the final stages of retouching, but you will get a good idea about what I deemed fit.

The first sequence with Dovile is complete, the second sequence with Martina will unravel during the whole week.

These 3 pictures have been taken just before starting the actual session, whilst Martina was still familiarising with the sofa rough fabric and are for patrons only.
If you are planning to subscribe to MYM, you’re going to see a new picture every 3 hours (usually 10:00, 13:00, 16:00, 19:00, 22:00), and this Weekend is going to be particularly TORRID as Martina finds a way to relax on the sofa…
But don't worry, the pictures are not going to expire or anything like that, and you will still find them whenever you decide to join, this is just a teasing way to dish them out that's going to keep the stamina level high.
Let’s see how this formula works, I have no idea about the result, but it was fun to re-live this special moments while scheduling the posts 😊

If you like this idea, please consider subscribing to my MYM profile, and let me know if you find this to be a meaningful way to present my work.
