[Reference] Caxtolli of Twinrivers (Patreon)

I finished Cax' new reference sheet as an early birthday gift to myself; there's technically nothing wrong with his old one, but seeing my art from over a year ago for something I still use daily is a trial, haha.

I plan to do a clothed version eventually but all he wears is slacks, tee-shirts and zip-ups (and too much jewelry/random junk he thinks looks nice).

As a fun dumb thing I also framed a lot of the stats to be from someone else's perspective; Cax inhabits a lab with Sarah and as such it's written (very loosely) from my idea of how she'd act if she had to classify his stupid ass. That's why there's a slight SCP theme to it - the dipshit can't be contained and is often too inconsistent to properly document. He's capable of doing harm but usually is too distracted to think of why that'd be needed; as such he has an almost childlike abandon of most forms of concern. He and Fifteen both share reality warping capabilities as well - their canonical link is unknown, largely, but they do know each other - but Cax' received his powers second-hand and as such they are very unreliable unless he's giving it his all, and commonly that's impossible for him.

The framing aside tho the looseness of Cax' stats are bc whenever I pass a ref to someone else I don't expect/want a perfect recreation of every fckn hair on his head. My tastes change and even in looking through art of Cax - his eyes are usually colored differently by me, his hair sometimes has a fade, is sometimes red, he sometimes has fins, he sometimes has less eyes, more eyes - it's all fluid and this is just a baseline. He's not really an axolotl, he's not always 4' 11" or 150lbs, his gender is whatever, his sex is whatever - he's like a lizard shaped bag of goo and it's not unknown for him to waltz in as an entirely different species and for that to go without notice.

tl;dr My boy is a mess and I love him.
