**ASSEMBLED HEADPHONE WARNINGS**  

Today, we look at not only the 4th Audio Drama episode, but an Extra (better late than never), two of the four previews (which HOLY SMOKES), and the Audio Drama theme song official video! There's a lot of good content this week that has me LOVING this audio drama series so far!

Loved the editing for you talking about how being a lord of soil and ground deity could be helpful if the emperor should decide one day to become genocidal 👀🤣 A fellow MXTX gutter mind sufferer here! 😆 The little ghost fires getting extinguished at the beginning of this story definitely make you feel way more sympathetic after having read about Hua Cheng as the ghost fire staying by Xie Lian's side. Hua Cheng has such a praise kink with his gege 😂 The "San Laaang" though was so good. I love Xie Lian being a little more whiney like that with Hua Cheng. An incense burner being amongst the scrap accoutrements Xie Lian collected immediately made me think of Mo Dao Zu Shi. Would be a fun crossover with the incense burner being this one Xie Lian found 🤣 I love how Xie Lian blocked out memories whilst Hua Cheng kept a tight hold of all his memories. Really shows how people's response to even the exact same trauma can be so different. "I slept in gege's bed" can be read so out of context. No Romania! Don't make me feel older with the idea that 00s songs can now be nostalgic tunes 😅 Just giving us this intimate moment of San Lang helping Xie Lian be presentable for guests 🥰😍 But it also shows how at ease Xie Lian was from the very beginning with San Lang that he didn't even think about fixing his hair and clothes when he first woke up, instead his first and only thought was San Lang. I love San Lang was like "My gege is NOT gonna sleep in a shrine that has a curtain for a door. That won't stop the breeze from getting in or keep the heat in!" Nan Feng/Feng Xin getting that little snide remark at Mu Qing 🤣 Also Xie Lian's tone of voice to Fu Yao and Nan Feng when they're fighting is very much that of an adult speaking to misbehaving children. Xie Lian saying for them to cast him aside, not the food, also gives me Xianle Trio feels, especially because it's being said to Fu Yao and Nan Feng after they'd just fought about their 'generals' abandoning Xie Lian. Mu Qing cast him aside to feed and care for his mother, and Xie Lian forced Feng Xin to cast him aside because he could have a 'better' life without Xie Lian and his parents holding him down. It feels like such a reminder to when food and other supplies were scarce for them 😭 I love that the preview at the start looks like a traditional-style painting. It also reminds me of the Wuyong murals only these are Xie Lian's...But yeah the quality of the previews are gorgeous! And they gave us those little nods. I think, like with the Mo Dao Zu Shi audio drama, there's an expectation that the listeners/viewers have read the novel and so they don't see things like the hole linked to Xie Lian's second ascension/descension and Ming Yi saying that he was the heavenly official who sent the distress signal. Also gotta say I *love* how deep Ming Yi's voice is...deep like the sea 👀😆 The second preview with the way the narration and music is could easily make someone think Tian Guan Ci Fu is a comedy 🤣 Really shocking though that they gave us the end of the novel (minus the extra chapters) here with a preview for Season 1. The shadowy figures we got the Four Tales and then the Four Calamities. All of them look so gorgeous. But yes the visuals for the ED they really went out of their way to make it look amazing. I took so many screenshots of it when it was first released 😅

Ahahaha, thank you! I KNEW I wanted to edit that moment because it was just SO on point for MXTX! And I’m glad we are all afflicted with the MXTX Gutter Mind together! And yesssss, now that we know the full story, we can empathize more knowing what HC went through as the little ghost fire. But yessss, that praise kink with XL! Whiney XL is really cute! I feel the Incense Burner HAS to be a callback to MDZS! And sooooo many out of context moments with these two! I do love how comfy they are with each other at this point, though, too. And YES, showing the difference in trauma response is really good to note throughout this. I have a student that was born in 2000 and others from up to 2005…I feel ANCIENT. The Xianle Trio callbacks and foreshadowing are so well done in these episodes and chapters. I am FLOORED by how much the previews for the season are giving things away! And yes, the connection to the WuYong murals, Ming Yi’s deep-as-the-sea voice?! DONE. GAGGED. LOVED IT. And I don’t blame you for the preview screenshots – it looks AMAZING! Thank you for the comment and kind words! :D
