**UNFORBIDDEN HEADPHONE WARNINGS**

The blood and gore keeps being cranked up and not only is Togane more suspicious than EVER now, Mika can't keep in her lane and challenges Akane's authority, and the Chief/Sybil System is acting VERY curious...and that's not even accounting for Sugo's not good day post-killing his boss and Kumai being Creepy AF.

Akane, my girl, how are we moving forward with all this chaos?!

Loved the reaction and discussion! I’m glad they showed the immediate aftermath of the last episode, including its effects on a bunch of the characters – it really needed to linger. I feel like the effects shown are also realistic – we’ve got some characters freaking out, having real physiological responses, some trying to stomp it down, some just moving on ‘cause it is just another day on the job. With Akane, to me this called back to S2E1 – where we had most characters trying to ‘do their job’ and she tried something different and succeeded! Going from something like that ‘success’ to what happens in S2E4 and now this aftermath? I can’t imagine. I'm glad we're getting new D1 additions 🥰: poor Sugo – it really has been a rough few days, and Kaede does bring a completely different vibe than anyone we had in S1 – love it. Saiga and Shion! 🥰 Just them being in each other’s presence – everything I could have asked for, they compliment each other so well to me. An absolute no-nonsense duo. Now that we’re halfway-ish through the season, I feel like sharing some of the OST. Yugo Kanno is still the main composer, same as S1 and did new variations of some of the familiar themes (links have no spoiler static image, comments are off): Cymatic Scan (the Enforcer theme, paddy-wagon scene): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=twb6BF4cta8 The Creeping Unknown (their investigation theme): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=97e6N98wGRE And among all the orchestral and synth tracks, he also did the Hungry Chicken theme – I love his range: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d3S_MZTgHJc Looking forward to next week and whether we see Neo-Whiteboard-kun again! 😂💙

Thank you so much for the kind words and comment! Yeah, letting stuff linger is really effective here – and seeing everyone’s reactions and how different they were I loved! I honestly could not imagine a situation like this and how it would affect me! And yesssss, more Division info and SUGO – seriously a rough day for them! I do love Kaede’s Bro energy!! And then another “S” pair - Saiga and Shion - they are magic as a duo! I really could watch them all day! Oohhh, thank you for sharing some of the OST! I appreciate it and the Hungry Chicken Theme?! RIDICULOUS but I love it! Thank you for the comment and kind words! And Neo-Whiteboard-kun! Let’s channel it! 😀

Kamui trying to Stockholm Syndrome Shisui is terrifying. That whole scene just gives me the creeps so much. Yes the red is from an Enforcer aiming their Dominator at an Inspector. I double-checked and we did see this happen before in Season 1 when Kougami checked Akane's Crime Coefficient with the Dominator. Also Neo-kun (Whiteboard-kun's Psycho-Pass descendant) I'm pretty sure is the same one we saw in Season 1 only it was filled with Kougami's Makishima obsession then. It could mean one of two things, either that the room Saiga has been given at MWPSB was the one Kougami was previously using, or Akane commandeered Neo-kun as yet another reminder of Kougami 🥺 Sugou really gives you so many feelings this episode. They're really putting him through the ringer so far this season 🥺 I love his conversation with Ginoza though. It shows they're both really going through it, and they're both rational adults that they understand what each is going through. But it doesn't take away the emotional pain there. I just want to give both Ginoza and Sugou a hug in that moment. It's really cute that Kunizuka never stopped rubbing Mika's head in comfort. I think at the time this aired some people felt Kunizuka and Mika talking like this was out of character for Mika (considering how rigid she has been about her being an Inspector and the Enforcers are something 'other'), but I feel it just highlights how much Kunizuka saving her on her first case meant to Mika. It also links nicely with in Season 1 Kunizuka was the one to talk to Mika at the end of the case about allowing herself to grieve (and feel) when she could so as it didn't have a continued effect on her Hue. But I can understand people having such issues with that moment considering in the same episode she complains to the Chief about Akane not considering the risk the Enforcers pose. Mika also didn't seem to consider that risk when venting with Kunizuka over what they witnessed. Out of context Psycho-Pass is so strange. My Mum walked in as you said "Dammit, we don't know which brain is in the Chief!" and she just went, "I don't think I want to know so I won't even ask." 😂 I love Saiga just peacing out on Shion like that 😂 But Akane is right in saying how good Saiga is for him to pick up on those types of physical cues to be able to tell the difference between the previous Masuda and the one the MWPSB have in custody. After your comment about Face/Off in both the discord and Episode 4 I was really excited to see your reaction to Kumai's little lab 😅 Also knew you'd appreciate the holo wall as a fellow Labyrinth lover. It's awful that those workers died due to people thinking they were playing a harmless mobile game, but it's such a point in Akane's viewpoint with what she previously said to Mika. Mika thought it was old school to do some old-fashioned police work, rather than leaving it in the hands of the drones. But this entire situation shows that drones are not an infallible source, they can be hacked. Though Akane wanting to go there herself to look into things also shows how much Kougami and Masaoka's styles of policing rubbed off on her 🥺 As much as we rag on Mika, I will applaud her for following her intuition in regards to questioning Togane's behaviour. My main issue with Mika is that she's quite hypocritical. She complains about Akane following *her* intuition, but does the same. And she complains about how Akane treats the Enforcers, yet Mika doesn't treat Kunizuka - an Enforcer - the way she does the others. She's talked down to Ginoza because he's stepped out of the bounds of an Enforcer (in her opinion), but she doesn't give those higher than her in the Chain of Command the respect they deserve. I feel for her witnessing what she did, but I'm not the most understanding of people going through something like that massacre (only way to call what Division 3 did to those people in Episode 4) and then just doubling down on believing themselves to be right and not trying to learn from it and change for the better. Yes, last season did have it's moments of gore and violence but it definitely had more of a gritty detective noir feel. Whereas this season gives of psychological thriller/horror vibes, like 7ven and Silence of the Lambs. It adds to the thriller component that we get things, such as the glimpse of Kumai's workroom or Togane's room, but not in enough detail to get a full picture yet. Season 1 was definitely easier to tell apart the characters. But I do find them having such similar hairstyles another very realistic aspect of the anime. Though the "Aizen-hair" does give bad connotations and makes me always more dubious about a character (and it's all Aizen's fault for that!) 😅 Your comment relating Family Matters to the brains made me giggle. I haven't seen the show, but how you described it made me imagine: what if one of the brains' personalities was a bit more on the flamboyant side and when they're in charge of Kasei, the way they talk and their body language is all over the top 🤣 Not sure if you've been given seiyuu information yet but: Suzuki (the Division 3 Inspector playing the mobile game) is voiced by Yamashita Daiki who is also the seiyuu for Keats from 86; Midoriya from Boku no Hero; Takuma from Daiya; and Tomari from Jingai-san no Yome. Kaede's seiyuu is Maeda Issei. He hasn't had too many roles, but one of them was the head coach for Tsubakihara Academy in Haikyuu!! Season 4. Sugou's seiyuu is Touchi Hiroki, and has also voiced Ginjou from Bleach and Kataoka from Daiya.

Kamui’s actions are definitely creepy to say the least! Agreed! It took me a second to remember Kogami doing that with the Dominator as well, but now that you mention it, that did happen! Ooohhh, I hadn’t thought of the prospect of Neo-Whiteboard-kun’s origin and connection to both Saiga AND Akane, but that honestly makes me feel for her and Whiteboard-kun’s Neo descendent a little more! T-T I do love Saiga just being a part of the gang, now, and kind of having free reign over everything! And Masaoka and Kogami living on through Akane? Stop. My heart cannot take it! Sugou and Ginoza need to go on a vacation together, bond, or something, because I feel they both need a hug so badly! Kunizuka is also so much more soft and compassionate towards her fellow colleagues this season and I definitely chalk that up to Akane’s influence! And the tie-in with Mika from Season 1 is just crazy and I love it! It adds another layer, like you mentioned! Speaking of Mika, yes, she can be a hypocrite. There is clearly some insecurity there and I can relate to it but it does make me want to *gently* shake her! OH NO!!! I’ve been heard out of context! It’s all over from here. XD I’m a bad teacher influence! 😛 YESSSS the Labyrinth reference SENT me! And a Frankenstein facial reconstruction lab?! Creepy. The Se7en and Silence of the Lambs vibes are definitely in this season more than the last! And everyone having the “evil Aizen curl” just makes them all more suspicious to me! And I still love the fact that we can “tell” when brains change with Kasai based on her body language and attitude, but we cannot tell for sure just “WHO” is in the body controlling it. Adding to the creepy factor! Ahh, thank you for the VA information, the comment, and kind words! This season is definitely making me root for Akane, our girl, to pull through with everything that’s going against her!
