I laughed at your little bit of sarcasm at not getting more on Akashi 🤣 It's definitely good you're able to joke about how you feel about his character now! Also loved the Treekawa appearance 🥰 Some moments of translating this my shipper heart was definitely torn in all directions, such as the interviews with their friends and their opinions of the characters. We did get to see Kagami do crowd-surfing with Furihata back in the bread episode but I do agree. Definitely should have given us them having down time during the beach training camp and had Kagami surfing the waves 😍 I have no clue why your pages were off. I checked it with both my online PDF reader and my app, and both versions were lined up properly 🤔 I knew you'd get a kick out of Kagami's ecological report, especially the bit on him being afraid of women and logical people (i.e. Midorima) 😂 My best way of describing dorayaki is two Irish pancakes sandwiched together usually with red bean paste 😅 Koganei's favourite food Baumkuchen is a German cake that has a hole in the centre and has a lot of layers. The mangaka's comment for Mitobe immediately made me think of you anticipating on if we'd finally hear Mitobe speak during the audio dramas or character songs 🤣 Fujimaki really helping my KasaKi ship with his comments that Kasamatsu was basically created to keep Kise from getting a bloated head. With Midorima's stats if he did get in the Zone then he'd be shooting from space and be able to battle gravity to still make it in the hoop! I agree that Nakatani is very logical and somewhat eccentric like Midorima. If the Characters Bible had been done after the movie the remote would have gotten first place! 🤣 Trust me, my AoKuro heart did double check the translation for that "Crush" because I also thought of the double meaning such a word could have in English. Going by the Characters Bible I definitely feel like Touou was Fujimaki's favourite team, considering nearly all the first string have a proper profile whereas for the other teams (even Seirin!) they don't all get as detailed a profile. Hanamiya's speciality being darts made me want him to join Imayoshi and Touou playing darts in the 10th Anniversary song so much more. I feel like Murasakibara's mental strength got docked some points because he can be quite childish and easily wound up (as seen when Kagami managed to childishly tease him into playing during the street basketball tournament, and then during the Seirin-Yousen match when Kiyoshi asked him about enjoying playing basketball it made him move to block the ball even though he knew the best thing to do would be not to move). I definitely agree that we need all of the Kuroko no Basuke characters playing pool or snooker in the shirt, waistcoat, and dress trousers look! But you know Kelsey wouldn't appreciate it as much because Hanamiya would probably manage to sneak in there somewhere 🤭 Oh my god, the Doumeki/Aomine comparison yes please!!! 😍 With how hesitant Kagami's answer was on his type of woman I feel like he just threw out an answer he thought Riko wouldn't yell at him for 😂 The shippers in us can definitely read so much though into some of their answers or consider them a good challenge for certain ships to come to fruition. Yay for you getting Kagami!!! I got Type F, Murasakibara 😆 The fans favourite match, by the point the manga was at, being Kaijou vs Touou surprised me too especially considering the other poll results. It was definitely shocking to me that it wasn't a Seirin match, but I do feel like the Kaijou vs Touou match was really interesting and I can understand why that would have been so many people's favourite match. And yes, I *had* to translate the comments people made with their votes after working out some of them, especially for that one about Kagami and Aomine's Zone showdown 🤣 I liked seeing how the mangaka obviously decided against some looks for some characters but then used those looks for other characters (like with Akashi and how one potential hairstyle looks like Mibuchi's and one looks like Moriyama [from Kaijou]). So the first little manga, the mangaka took over Hyuuga's body (apparently he did this in a previous fanbook too) and he used that moment to question all his characters on questions fans have inundated him with 😆 And the second manga was the first prototype for a oneshot that wasn't released until this fanbook I believe. Couple of translating notes for this manga, the mangaka used kanji meaning 'supporting character' and 'main character', but used hiragana to show these meant 'moon' and 'sun'; and "bewitched by a fox" is linked with a traditional expression about foxes fooling people. The translator in regards to Fujimaki's comment about Mibuchi being an Onee-type I think got some not so pleasant comments about how the term doesn't have to mean a femme gay guy. Their comment there I think was to cover their own backs against any negativity with how they'd previously translated it. I do get that translation is quite subjective, especially in a language like Japanese where one word/phrase can have a multitude of meanings, but going by context and other information we know in regards to Mibuchi I definitely think their original translation of Fujimaki's comment was correct. I feel like a lot of fans had the same feeling as Fujimaki by being satisfied after Aomine punched out Haizaki 😂 Nijimura Fujimaki gave him a birthday in the Jump Festa [12th June, originally making him a Gemini] and then changed the date in the Characters Bible Plus [10th July, making him a Cancer]. As a result fans of Nijimura celebrate his birthday on both days, and he is the only character in Kuroko no Basuke to get this treatment 😂 This was a great video! I'm glad you enjoyed it. Looking forward to more, but definitely no rush for more Kuroko no Basuke content. Whenever fits your schedule...and like you said, it means it can stay in ongoing series on discord for just a teensy bit longer.

Time has definitely made me feel better about Akashi! 🙂I can definitely joke about him now and YES! Treekawa must always make an appearance! I can only imagine as a shipper translating all of this and being like, “OOOOOOOHHHHHH!” haha! OH! That’s right about Kagami “crowd-surfing” - that is the most SUBTLE hint of that I’ve ever seen! Show!! Give me an American OVA post-season 3! I’ll take it! Poor Midorima got the shaft in this, though, being on so many people’s “lists.” At least we get confirmation that Midorima was too powerful for the Zone, haha! And agreed, that remote deserves first place as the lucky item! It’s totally fine about them not lining up for whatever reason! Technology is weird! And thank you for the Dorayaki and Baumkuchen explanation! That makes sense! Plus, teasing us that Mitobe could talk is CRUEL. Kasamatsu just being Iwaizumi to Kise’s Oikawa. 😛 The AoKuro “Crush” shipping! DONE. Haha! Aomine as Doumeki? HERE FOR IT. Oh, the Hanamiya and Imayoshi slander/shipping elements were SENDING me! Kelsey’s disdain for Hanamiya cracks me up, but I would love to see them in the modern/casual activities as a spread, like KyoAni does with the Free! Characters! That’s awesome you got Mura! I love it! Yeah, getting Kagami was a great plus reading this! That’s good to know with the manga about the “fox spirit” and “fooling people” and your explanation with that, so thank you! And with the info on Nijimura’s birthday changing. He deserves two birthdays! 😀 And Mibuchi representing positively I will always love; go Big Sis Reo! They deserve the happy fan support, too! You did so much work with this translation, it blew my mind! I am so grateful for all your hard work on this because this was a JOY to read and go through! And YES, I was originally going to do Bright Colors this month, but with my Internet shenanigans and scheduling, I’ll likely push it back, but that’s okay! That just means I get to extend the discussion on KNB for a bit longer at least until summer when I can hopefully do that livestream and Shipping…MAMMOTH discussion haha!
