This volume had a LOT of horror vibes in the artwork with Zodd and some lovely creepy expressions from our boy Griffith throughout! It's almost like something's being foreshadowed or something...

I think Zodd is adorable as well! I’ve seen custom plushies of him! Now, I’m a knitter so….. maybe I should try to knit a Zodd! 😈 hmmmm something to consider! I do think that the manga flows a bit better than the anime does. You can also see how Miura is working out the final rendering of all the characters. I think it adds to the charm of the manga over any of the anime. The water fight! Ah, you noticed the lack of male nipples! I think that is more a design choice, but, it would be nice if us women got to see that. As for the censoring, I wonder what the original art looked like. I’ve never seen anything different so, who knows. I know the Japanese have their own laws about this. ( I’m not familiar with them). “Put it on the eyeball count!” I will! 😉. One of the differences you noticed between this and the anime was that everyone saw Zodd! I think this makes Casca’s reaction to the situation more understandable. Hehe, it was Gaston that helped up Guts, not Corkus. The joke is, they get confused all the time! They do look similar after all! Absolutely love Gaston as Gut’s second. It's not censorship, you're supposed to draw the cock and balls on, like in an activity book, at least that's what I did with my copy.

That double standard definitely exists in Berserk. But it may be just a Japanese cultural thing. For example, in Japanese hardcore porn they will censor the genitals for men and women. There is a chapter that Miura removed from the manga. Many people will probably suggest you read it online when you get to that point. But in my opinion, Miura's decision should be respected and you shouldn't read it. I didn't read it, although I have been completely spoiled about what happens in it. I thought I should give you a warning ahead of time.

OH MY GOSH, a Zodd plushie would sell like hot cakes! Get on this, Dark Horse! XD I definitely agree that the manga flows soooooo well! And yes, one of my favorite things about reading manga, especially long-running manga is that you see a character’s development design-wise over time! 🙂Although, if his art is good NOW, I am really excited for what’s to come! Ahhh, that’s interesting to know that law could be involved in this! Hmmmm, interesting! And yes, glad you’re keeping an eyeball count! ;) Oh yeah, them ALL seeing Zodd is crazy and helps explain so much for the situation, I agree. And Awwww, Gaston helped him, not Corkus; I will confuse Gaston and Corkus in a future reaction, so that’s kind of funny! I’ll take note of that!
