**OLD FASHIONED HEADPHONE WARNINGS**  

This is a long reaction, but we have two DYNAMIC volumes of manga to look at and this story! The romance! The tenderness! The ANGST! It's a Yaoi BUFFET and  now I want to watch the live action!!   

Nozue and Togawa were just adorable and so RELATABLE -- I love cupcakes, sweets, and definitely this manga set! I hope you all enjoy as well!

Loved this reaction & discussion! The pacing of this was really excellent and the artwork was gorgeous. I’m so glad for the happy ending – honestly, the middle part of the 2nd volume started to try my patience a little in terms of the way they communicated (or didn’t), but even then – the facial expressions were so well done throughout! 🥰 I am curious though – did you choose an overarching theme of isolation and loneliness for this year’s Januyaoi? 😆 ‘Cause it is really prominent in ALL the entries + extras so far, more so than previous years’ entries. Very interesting. I guess it is also mostly the heartbreaking statistical reality of queer media. I’m just glad we’ve had happy endings all around, my poor heart can only take so much. Looking forward to next week! 💙

Thank you so much for the kind words and comment! YES, I wholeheartedly agree that the second volume made me want to SHAKE THEM with the miscommunication, but I’m glad it was resolved! And yes, the expressions, the artwork, etc. all worked so well with this series! I would love to check out the live action one day if I get a chance! You know? I didn’t really realize that the overarching theme of this year’s Januyaoi was about isolation and loneliness until you said that! @_@ I feel that a lot of queer media is about finding someone that relates to you and that can counter the isolation and loneliness one can feel with their sexuality and identity…but that’s a good point! But yeah, it all weirdly added up this year to that! Hm. I may need to consider some more variety in the future, hahahaha!! But I’m with you, at least we’ve had happy endings! Thanks for the kind words and comment and I agree; I’m looking forward to our last bout of Old Man Yaoi talk this week!
