**NOMENCLATURAL HEADPHONE WARNINGS**  

This would seem like an ordinary "after math" episode, but NO.  There is QUITE a lot brewing under the surface and it has me really excited, as we see everyone around Lena encouraging her to step back for her own good, but she's not going to be influenced!   

Instead, she wants to learn everyone's names and draw even closer to those she could potentially lose at any given moment...

X0 means Executive officer. It is a military abbreviation often used for the second in command. Its origin comes from naval use, but does see use generally now in all militaries. 86 is one of those anime where every character has importance and very few images do not have meaning. I am looking forward to next Sunday. Have a great week!

A few little things. About the OP...the flowers in the field at the end are Red Spider Lilies. And yes, that is Kaie in the field, along with Kujo with the dreads who died in the first episode. I love the subtle exasperation in Shin’s voice when talking to Lena when she insists he tell her the names of the squad members. The XO in Raiden's name stands for "Executive officer" because he is the second-in-command to Shin, the commanding officer. During the after-credit scene when Theo talks to Lena, he flicks his eyes toward his right ear where the para- RAID device is attached. The first time we meet Anju she and Daiya are in the Mess hall moving a large cooking pot, then we see her handing out cake to the squad, then watching over the girls at the rover after doing the laundry and in this episode we have her re-stitching the button for Theo. All this gives "mother" vibes.

SPIDER LILIES, yes! They're used so much in anime but I always forget what they're called! Thank you for that and the XO details, too! Lena is SO stubborn, but I love her for it! I like that Anju gives off those caring vibes as well! I'm not sure the significance of Theo looking at the para-RAID device, but maybe I'll figure it out later. Thanks for the comment! :)
