Here comes Jumanji: ghost city special edition! Our brave contestants must face different obstacles from overgrown earthworms to cannibals, all depending on the number they row! Since we now know that the entire 'rescue mission' is staged by the two ghost kings, just imagine their communication array be like: HC: LOL the windmaster's approaching you in drag with his highness, get your ass prepared HX: what's there to LOL about, it's not the first time you see her in a dress HC: yep, but it's about to be your first time seeing HIM in my dancer's torn dress HX: (see SQX) What the f- HC: btw, nice boob window last time, your idea? HX: stfu (sign) okay, no more falling onto HC's lap this time, but given the storyline in the book for this arc, we'll be seeing HC fighting next week! And maybe even get a glimpse of preceptor Fangxin! (fingers crossed)

THE BEEFLEAF HURTS ME IN THIS EPISODE. The way he immediately knew from the sound of his voice who he was to the way his eyes lit up at the sight of him—and the piggybacking??! Just that whole interaction, I’ve had on repeat for the entire week. There’s so many foreshadowing for the Black Water arc that it’s killing meeee. I saw the internal screaming you were doing when “Ming Yi” came on the screen. Okay, so, first off, after Shi Qingxuan gets his face cut by the cannibals, he says afterwords to Xie Lian, “In the past, my luck wasn’t always good” hinting to the Reverend of Empty Words and then when Xie Lian thinks that the bad luck is caused by him, SQX says “How can I have my luck affected by someone else!” Which is so ironic seeing as his luck WAS affected because of someone else (being his brother Shi Wudu). Ahhh, it just made me physically wince because oh boy that saying does not age well since we now know the Black Water arc. And idk if you can see it, and even Starember does this in the manhua, but in the donghua character design of “Ming Yi” he’s wearing this crown thingy on his ponytail, and, to me, it always looked more like a pufferfish or corals the sharp spikes. Because as the “earth master”, it always felt out of place, design-wise. But whether it’s intentional or not, it would be the donghua team’s way of giving us novel-readers a small nudge nudge to his true identity as He Xuan/Black Water. I can’t wait for the next episode! I feel like we’re breezing through this season already, and if there is only 12 episodes, that means the halfway point is already next week 😭😭😭 i have no idea where they’re gonna end this season but i hope they won’t make us wait another two years for the next one

That's a perfect and hilarious comparison! :) It's so funny with the concept that HC could tease HX soooo much in this episode with him and the Wind Master...let's savor these good times, eh? :') I'm sooooo excited for the events to unfold this season but yes! The BeefLeaf hurt is REAL, I agree! The entire interaction is so beautiful but breaks my heart, too! The foreshadowing is just insane!! Oohhhh, that's such good foreshadowing with before his ascension! Does not age well at all -- thanks for pointing that out! And ooohhhhh, that little nudge! That's so good! I'll have to go back and re-look at it! :) I can't believe that we're nearing halfway -- oof -- and I agree 100%, I hope we don't have to wait nearly as long for a third season, but as long as we eventually get it, that's what matters to me!
