What can we say -- this episode was twist after twist after twist and I was FLOORED! I loved this episode; definitely TRICK AND TREATS today!

Just for clarification the Death Paintings (Choso, Eso, Kechizu) and a curse womb are two different things, it’s a bit confusing because there’s so many terms 😂😂 the special grade from the detention centre in season 1 transformed from a curse womb so that’s kinda what happened here with Dagon. The Death Paintings aren’t curse wombs, they’re just half human/half curse. Also we love a family reunion 😂 I can’t wait for next week to see what Toji (our true agent of chaos) will do!

Yay for the Nobara cosplay! (And no annoying wig for you this week to make you feel even more unwell! 😂) Such horror film vibes for MeiMei's fight with the setting and the colouring and lighting used. So much tension with her fight, especially after seeing how quickly the crow died, but it's like all the tension bleeds out of you when you see UiUi poke his face out of the coffin. I've been intrigued by him too and wanting to know if he can do anything or or if he was simply around for us to see another example of family within jujutsu society. Dagon crying for his comrades did hurt my heart a little...Akutami once again writing his 'villains' in the way that most shounen write their protagonist/heroes. Naobito's technique is really quite interesting. I love though that it's two of the older characters, Naobito and Gakuganji (Kyoto's Jujutsu Tech's Principal), that have techniques that are somewhat unexpected from people of their age. Like an animation-style technique and using an electric guitar as the conduit for cursed energy are both not typical abilities you'd think these two would have going by their character designs/age. Crunchyroll actually giving us a translation more similar to how some fan translators translate such ways of speaking with that "Octobitch" 🥰 I was a little worried for Maki until Dagon was so dismissive of her. Don't go disrespecting or putting her down, she has got her own strengths! I don't think she could defeat Dagon alone, but I do think Dagon writing her off as simply weak isn't a wise thing to do. And if Dagon's deciding their strength levels by cursed energy then it does suggest that Dagon will consider Toji to be the weakest person within his Domain 🤣 The return of Playful Cloud (it's the weapon Maki, Fushiguro, and Todo all used against Hanami during the Exchange Event) is quite interesting considering thinking of Hanami's death seemed to trigger Dagon's evolution from a Curse Womb. I do love Dagon's descriptive names for them all, but it is intriguing how they started this fight with Dagon talking about how he and his curse spirit friends all have names in a way that makes you think he wants them all to be recognised by their names. And yet instead of learning the jujutsu sorcerers' names he gives them descriptive names, similar to how the jujutsu sorcerers do with curses (e.g. they calling Mahito the "patchwork curse" because of all the stitches on him). With the hands coming up I first thought Todo was suddenly going to make an appearance but then I saw the clothes and I was like "Crap it's Toji...oh but BeHappy will be delighted" 🤣 He's definitely another variable that we have no idea what it means to have him introduced into this fight. But yay for the familial reunion, right(?) 😅 Calling it that next week (if next week gives us a continuation of this fight) the Discord will implode with all the screenshots of Nanami and Toji 🤣 Romania: I don't think Toji has any beef with Nanami, other than the fact that he might be hotter than him Oooh, Romania throwing down the gauntlet against BeHappy's husbando 🤣 We were discussing in the discord about how we're now two for two with the beach episodes in Jujutsu Kaisen going the complete opposite for the vibe beach episodes in other shounen are. Beach episodes are meant to be good-natured fun that gives you a moment to breathe between fights, not all this blood and pain Akutami is throwing at us! 🥲 Nanami telling Maki to sit the fight out, because of how he's been with all the students during these kinds of situations, I saw that as yet another moment of Nanami going against jujutsu society (and the idea they have of these students just being disposable soldiers in the fight against curses) and wanting the students to be able to just be kids. Like he said to Itadori back in Season 1 "it's not a sin to be a child"; and I do think the loss of Haibara back when *they* were students really made that idea cement itself into Nanami's entire being. Nanami with his hair down makes him look much younger. He looks good normally but yeah he looked even better towards the end of this episode (minus the blood). I knew you'd be appreciative of the Nanami content this episode.

Yes, I had decided for the Halloween episode that I would be Nobara, so I’m glad that it worked out! :) Mei Mei’s fight has that Hitchcock aesthetic, doesn’t it? So spooky! Ui Ui is FASCINATING to me as well! I’m soooo intrigued to know about Mei Mei’s family - we get a lot of “Clan” information in this series; I want to know about her family! Right?! First Jogo and now Dagon gets a sympathetic tie-in! And YES – in the reaction, I was thinking of Gakuganji (I don’t think I brought him up in the discussion because TOJI LDJFKDFJDL hahaha) but I was thinking it’s neat how they bring about unexpected techniques; these Boomers! 😛 That translation from Maki was hilarious! I agree, though, if Dagon thinks that Maki isn’t a threat based on spiritual power – Toji should be a BREEZE, right?! @_@ I’ll let BeHappy have him, though; just leave Nanami to meeeeee! <3 I’m ready for all the Toji and Nanami art to fill the Discord! ;) And “Playful Cloud” YES – thank you; I was trying to remember its name!
