Welp...if you were waiting for me to cry reading this story...have I got the chapters for YOU! I straight up SOBBED at the travesty that these chapters wrought our poor unfortunate soul, Xie Lian.   

Xie Lian reaches the bottom of the barrel, and there's only one way to go...but is it as someone wanting to save the common people...or lead them to ruin? And this masked, black-clad warrior "WuMing" seems awfully familiar...can't get much worse than this, right? Right?!  

Oh, and I look at Manhua Chapter 97 -- ACTUAL fun in this set of chapters!

Guys I know it’s sad but hear me out, calamity xie lian kinda hits different 🫣🥵

Somehow things managed to get even worse than last chapter and XL finally found himself alone, questioning his morality and existence, and filled with hatred. Ruoye origin story unlocked! Back to the beginning of vol2, when JW gave XL the mission to investigate the ghost city, he warned XL to be careful around HC's blade and claiming it to be 'cursed, ominous, must be forged with cruel sacrifices and bloody determination etc. etc.'. We don't know the origin story of E'ming yet, but based on this standard, Ruoye is also one very cursed weapon, unintentionally forged from being soaked in god's blood, having 2 human sacrifices and nearly one god sacrifice. The new character "Wuming" unlocked! Although this chapter set is filled with agony, I still burst out laughing when XL found out that his new subordinate might still be a teenager, but is already taller than him. Guess we can add one more argument on XianLe Guoshi's list on 'why XL shouldn't become a god too early' ROFL When XL said "Follow me and I'll give you whatever you want", am I the only one whose thought immediately jumped to R18 stuff LAMO? (Bonking myself into the horny jail) The 'evil' duo entered Yong'an palace only to find out that Lang Ying is also victim to BWX and is on the edge of dying. And there's one more crown prince introduced, although we don't know his name nor his backstory before him getting knocked out by Wuming. Guess being a Yong'an royalty during this time period isn't that easy, should have bought some insurance before taking the title(just kidding) It's indeed truth that comparison makes opinions different, when we first encountered the Fangxin Guoshi arc it's the most painful arc at that time but now it can become a relief while reading alongside vol6...

Nothing like questioning existence and dealing with the hatred that comes from pain and suffering! Ruoye's origins are DEFINITELY something, right?! Especially for a device that SEEMS so innocent at first glance. Poor XL being shorter than teenage WuMing; he can't help that HC had a growth spurt! :P But HAHAHAHA - R18 implications - anything to help make the situation lighter this chapter set, RIGHT?! And man, the way you worded that about Lang Ying being a victim to BWX already...just makes the whole situation sadder. Yeah, in comparison, the VOL2/3 arcs are so much lighter to the heaviness of this one! Thank you for the comment!
