It's so good to see that even in the manga Kise's Seirin's number one fan! *Aomine* complimenting Kagami?! 👀 That is a great panel of Kagami slamming the ball over Murasakibara's head. Really makes you feel the action of Kagami's movement and force behind his shot. Murasakibara and Aomine being polar opposites in their reaction to Kagami pushing back against them I feel like links well with Kuroko's relationship with both. He's said off the court that he and Aomine don't have much in common but they used to get on really well on the court. Whereas Kuroko gets on well with Murasakibara outside of basketball, but because of his play style and way of thinking when it comes to on the court things can get more tense between them. That image of Himuro hurts! So many feelings for him. Especially with Aomine's words about Himuro's own talent. Ponytailed Murasakibara definitely hits differently...I agree that Murasakibara becomes like Midorima (and Kise in Kaijo's match against Touou for the Inter High) with his choice of passing to Himuro. Their egos, and even their titles as members of the Generation of Miracles, take a backseat for what will give them the best chance of winning. In Middle School when they attained the status they did they let it go to their heads a little, I feel, but in fighting for their wins they learn to rely on their teammates 🥺 The Aizen levels of "all according to plan" in Kuroko no Basuke is honestly hilarious. Especially from a sport anime of all things. Shortest player on the court stopping Murasakibara, the tallest of the Generation of the Miracles. Kuroko is honestly such a little sh*t that I wouldn't be surprised if he does some of these things on purpose to get his own version of revenge, whilst also helping his friends. It's Liu that pats Kuroko's shoulder to congratulate him for his team winning. But the way he's drawn definitely makes him look more like Murasakibara in that panel. Crying Murasakibara! He's such a baby!!! 🥺 Kuroko really is such a boyfriend in that moment of telling Kagami to get his head out of his ass and make-up with Himuro. Haizaki definitely seems more intimidating in the manga. In the anime he just felt like this pesky high schooler that needed to be taught a lesson (via a coldcock to his jaw from Aomine). The cover page of Akashi looks so good. I love how his hair looks in that! Also his eyes are a lot more feline-shaped than I feel they are in the anime. Kagami's facial expressions when he can't believe the idea of Kise losing hurts my heart so much. But Kuroko shouting his belief in Kise 🥺 Honestly feels like this game between Fukuda and Kaijo is going so quickly. I definitely feel like, after the audio drama, Nijimura had a better understanding and more empathy for the place Haizaki was coming from. Akashi, however, was lacking in the ability to keep Haizaki from breaking-up the team because of his behaviour, due to never having gone through the same experiences Haizaki and Nijimura shared. I love how coldly confident and protective Aomine is one minute and then utterly adorable after knocking Haizaki unconscious 🤣 Aomine giving Kagami his shoes feels even more shippy in the manga considering Kagami's comment about the colours and the tsundere way Aomine is about it. Hanamiya's expression when they're discussing the five Uncrowned Kings really reminds me so much of Qi Rong 🤣 I'm thinking the faceless black-haired character could be the third year they have represent Rakuzan in STRKY against JABBERWOCK. I definitely feel proportions-wise Hayama is drawn a lot shorter than 5' 11" in the anime. He definitely looks a lot more than just three inches shorter than Mibuchi in the anime. But then again that would make him about three inches taller than Akashi in the anime which I could see, but Hayama definitely looks over three inches taller than Akashi in the manga. Himuro feels like a mother trying to keep her child from having a tantrum in a public place by plying them with junk food, with how he tries to keep Murasakibara there to watch the game(s). Out of all the subjects the coaches teach, honestly Harasawa's [Touou's coach] was the most shocking for me. Definitely didn't peg him for a Chemistry teacher. Maybe I'd have done better in Chemistry at school if my teacher looked like him 🤪 It's the dead eye stare; it comes off as disturbing rather than full of sincerity for Akashi talking about how he can depend on his teammates/doesn't need to do anything himself. The Rakuzan-Shuutoku match really gives you so many Midorima feels. His growth and trust in his team makes you so proud of how far he's come. In Northern Ireland the specialities are probably Irish Stew and an Ulster Fry 😅 But we do have some talent in barbecuing if I do say so myself...the talent of either being able to cook everything and get it inside, or be able to cook everything whilst using an umbrella to prevent yourself, the food, and the coals from getting soaked 🤣 That image of Kuroko for the cover...*very* intense both in the line work and his facial expression. Love it. That inverted colour panel of Akashi and Midorima looks so good! We definitely need more Midorima without his glasses in our lives! Maybe Takao's hoarding all the pictures of him like that 😂 The perseverance of Shuutoku really do make me love them as a team. The continued translation of "naturally" is potentially them translating the phrase Midorima likes to use "nanodayo". It doesn't actually have an equivalent in English which means it can be down to the translator on how it's translated. It's a quirk that just adds to portraying Midorima as a very self-assured character. That blooper of Akashi thinking Midorima was gonna do a kamehameha nearly made me choke on my drink! Akashi would never have been the one I'd put for giving a Dragon Ball reference 🤣

Yes, Kise is always supportive! And RIGHT?! Aomine complimenting Kagami? Crazy, right? I love the “movement” of the manga; it always works so well in this series! I do find the differences and similarities with Mura and Aomine on and off the court fascinating! And Mura fighting to win but doing so with teamwork? :’) The pained images this manga gives us hurt a LOT! I agree! I definitely feel for him, too! Mura crying is so satisfying in a weird way, but so sad, too! That image of Himuro hurts! So many feelings for him. Especially with Aomine's words about Himuro's own talent. But at least he has Mura to tag along with him the rest of the volume. And Kagami’s face when he thought Kise would lose! YES! THE PAIN! I love how this sports anime, of all the ones I’ve watched, taps into the “Aizen” hamminess the most, but feels so natural in doing so! Kuroko holds SUCH a grudge! I love it! But it is a great David and Goliath comparison. And AH! Thank you! That’s so funny that it’s LIU that pats Kuroko! It was a little confusing, so that helps! Yeah, Haizaki definitely seems to have more of a dark reputation in the manga; it definitely makes me look at him with more trepidation, though I’m still all for Nijimura’s plan – but more on that in another volume. ;) I agree, though, Akashi has a more “feline” quality in the manga – I wonder if there ever will be a spread of him with a cat behind him like the funny Aomine/Hayama/Kagami/Koganei one? Aomine definitely has more SHIPPY moments in the manga and extras, I agree! He is SO tsundere with Kagami and the shoes! Hanamiya is SOOOOO the KNB equivalent for Qi Rong, it’s not even funny! That’s a really good point about that one guy being the STRKY player – I guess we’ll find out when we get to the manga for that! I would have fared better with Chemistry if Harasawa was the instructor, too! Hahaha! My MIDORIMA FEELS though – ugh, my heart! Our Tsundere carrot has grown so much! I would NOT be surprised if Takao is hoarding pictures, but we need more for SURE! RIGHT?! Would not have pegged Akashi for a DBZ reference, either! That’s funny how Nanodayo is translated to “naturally” – it happens a LOT in the extra materials with him, so that’s funny! Thank you for the kind words and comment! Getting closer to sad times! @__@
