**NEW LORE HEADPHONE WARNINGS**

Just when I think MXTX isn't going to throw another curveball into the mix, we not only discover a hidden civilization in Mt. Tonglu, but a mysterious "Crowned Prince" that seems...quite...similar to our very own crown prince Xie Lian...at least as far as how the people of Wuyong revered and then abandoned him!

Between that mystery, four mystery deputies (MXTX and this number 4, I tell you!), and Pei Ming AND Ling Wen (who shows back up) BOTH getting kidnapped by a mysterious figure?! MXTX leaves us on one of the worst cliffhangers, YET! *shakes fist* You'll have to excuse my brain, it was a bit of a cluster cuss after ALL the content we get in these four chapters!

Thank you for watching with me and for all the support!

Happy Danmei Monday and thanks for the reaction! This group is just brimming with chaos. The one with most relationships is without a partner, the strongest one is calling a time-off, the worst two cooks are responsible for the food and the only mortal is going to investigate the surroundings......you guys sure the task assigning part is correct?! The scorpion-tailed snakes: I used all my force and poison to attack your enemies, and you threw me into the pot? Am I not your most lovable pet anymore?! Me while reading this part of the story: be there any ghost in black or white, just let XL throw that soup at them, problem solved. XL: in order to grab a man's heart, you have to kill his stomach. BY: Roger! So old gods would be replaced by new gods when something more capable is invented in the mortal realm......So in a modern AU, we'd be having the IOS god and Android god fighting each other up there? We don't know whether the Guoshi of Xianle is someone special or not, but if he turns out to be the crown prince of Wuyong, and XL as the crown prince of Xianle, later become the Guoshi of Yong'An, maybe we found another thing that runs in the family/school! LQQ, maybe you need to go down there and apply for another Guoshi position in order to maintain the 'tradition' ROFL PM, a guy with a pair of eyes in search for beautiful women for centuries, but only used them here to found out gay relationship. He decided to go out because of too much flirting between Hualian only to be kidnapped and put next to the person in black, who turns out to be LW, the other alive tumor......And it's the cliffhanger again, nobody's surprised anymore.

I definitely felt that whack against the elbow, ow! Trying to make people listen to you about not spoiling things or confirming/de-confirming your theories is now resulting in physical pain. I do love that Pei Ming calls Hua Cheng in a respectful manner, like the ghosts living in Ghost City (Hua Chengzhu). Coming from a Heavenly Official it adds to the evidence that Pei Ming is similar to Xie Lian in that, in general, he doesn't see ghosts as lesser beings. But Pei Ming has shown himself to be more prone to believing gossip/tale about a person (god, mortal, or ghost) and treating them a certain way until he learns otherwise [example being how he first was dubious about Hua Cheng's intentions and brought up the Ghost King's presence at Banyue when Pei Xiu was on trial, yet now he's more accepting and understanding of Hua Cheng]. Xie Lian, however, has continuously shown that whilst he does sometimes listen to gossip, he tries to not let such gossip cloud his opinion on a person and prefers to decide for himself about a person's character. Game of Thrones has now made it that when Xie Lian said "The night has deepened", and the fact they decided to rest, I was immediately reminded of "The night is dark and full of terrors." 😂 When you think you might like Pei Ming he opens his mouth and shows himself to be a sexist 🤦‍♀ Just Pei Ming and Xie Lian bonding by sympathising over their individual Rong's 🤣 I love your shouting "No!" over Banyue thoughtfully adding scorpion snakes to their dinner, and yet for Xie Lian he's completely unphased and just continues his conversation with Pei Ming. Really hits home just why he's such a terrible cook if adding scorpion snakes to their dinner isn't something that triggers warning bells. Banyue is just adorable with her attempts to cook, worrying over her Pei Xiu-gege, and her concern for the Rain Master 🥺 I do also love that whilst running for their lives she brought along her soup pot that, going from past experiences with Xie Lian's attempts at cooking, may be what actually succeeds in taking their lives 🤣 Also you gotta love that Pei Ming and Pei Xiu's opinion on Hua Cheng's character raises a little just from his willingness to eat such an attempt at cooking. And considering the description of the 'food' being like the abyss and Pei Ming and Pei Xiu acting like he was going to be swallowed whole really makes me think of Nietzsche's quote "if you gaze long into an abyss, the abyss also gazes into you"; which is funny considering the tales surrounding the 'evil' Ghost King Hua Cheng. The way Xie Lian turned around as Pei Xiu tried the food reminds me a lot of how he acted when smiling at Quan Yizhen eating his food. He's honestly such a little sh*t sometimes! 🤣 Hua Cheng throwing shade on the Heavenly Officials for being a bunch of gossiping biddies. And because it's the truth, no-one can refute his words. Banyue's scorpion snakes coming in handy with keeping womanisers like General Pei at a distance! 🥳 Snake venom, the ancient version of mace 😆 Also considering Banyue wasn't scared I could write it off as Pei Ming's actions being unconscious and just a reflex in such a situation; but you could also read it as Pei Ming being the one freaked out in that situation and looking for comfort in the form of the nearest female 😂 Romania: Oh good we have one more chapter. So evil of me to laugh at that statement. Feel like the last chapter in this set ends on an even worse cliffhanger. Definitely don't blame you if you don't wait. Pei Ming skedaddles from the more emotional flirting between Hualian, but is totally up for observing (and giving pointers) when it's more physical flirting. The air of that scene is very lovey dovey with them each basically complimenting the other's skills, but Mo Xiang Tong Xiu just dials up the romance with that power flex from Hua Cheng in the form of his butterflies helping Xie Lian to unveil the mural. That scene is honestly going to be so beautiful if we ever get it animated. And now you know Hua Cheng can use his butterflies to listen in real time it makes you understand how he might have got some of the knowledge he holds in regards to the events within the Heavenly Realm (not just from He Xuan being his potential spy). Silver butterflies can do espionage, have a good offense (considering how they attacked Feng Xin and Mu Qing before Hua Cheng rescued Xie Lian from the Heavenly Realm, as well as the other heavenly officials' fear of the precious creatures), *and* they can do a little bit of spring cleaning too! So OP 😂 As for the manhua, I loved this chapter but my heart broke for the look on Xie Lian throughout it. I've missed my himbo god Lang Qianqiu. And yes it's Pei Ming talking about the Guoshi Fang Xin. Shi Wudu we don't meet until much later. He Xuan just abandoned on the floor passed out nearly the entire chapter added a nice bit of hilarity/levity. I'm excited to see how STARember will draw some characters that we get introduced in Volume 2.

Thank you for the kind words -- I was so conflicted with your guoshi comment because I hadn't talked about him as the option for the crown prince...so I don't know what to do with that, but that is a point about the lineage with fallen kingdoms and becoming the guoshi afterwards. This set of chapters is just chaos, but should we be surprised at this point? :P

Starting this week, Trigun is going to be on Tuesdays! I released a video last week about updates for July, and I'll have an update post on July 1st about the new schedule for the month! I hope that helps! :)

Miss Angel

The first time I read this story was back in 2021 I believe and I haven't read this part and everything after this since. I can't wait for all of the upcoming Mondays as I'm currently tugging at my hair from sheer anticipation. This is one of the only stories I've read so far that makes my jaw hit the floor every time I find a hint I missed or read a certain part. EDIT: I also struggled with figuring out how to pronounce Cuocuo's name but according to the pronounciation guide in the physical volumes, it's like tsu-woh tsu-woh. In my language the letter "c" is pronounced in a pretty much identical way and it's basically like the "ts" in the word "tsunami" so I hope that helps lol

benjamin freeman

Ah I missed the update video. thank you, looking forward to tomorrow then! love your reactions!

romaniablack

No problem at all! It was LITERALLY the most low key video update! hahaha, I'm excited for Trigun Tuesdays, though! Thank you for all the kind words! :D

I still found it so adorable how Pei Su and Banyue call xl 'General' And the Soup- the soup! RIP Pei Su's commas. I love their little trio. I think it's so funny how every time XL cooks something HC eats it, especially in front of others, as if goading them into eating it as well LOL It's a double bonus for HC - he gets to eat geges cooking and making those 'annoyances' suffer. And I did miss HC's sass (meanwhile XL is sorting through 800 years of RAM lolol) Also Hua Cheng was at Tonglu for 10 years!! A peek into how his own hundreds of years was spent. [“I didn’t find anything out because my talents are dull, and my abilities are limited. ”] he said, despite having translated an ancient language. LMAO [“Eminent Crown Prince Descends With Light to Shine Everlasting Unto the Land of Wuyong’, and such nonsensical praise."] But if it was about Xie Lian, Hua Cheng would probably be all for it! [“Which meant they were the same characters as Feng Xin and Mu Qing, once upon a time.”] Oooo, the parallels! Can't wait for more! It's been a long long while since I reread this part of the story and I'm pretty much reliving the mystery alongside you! I really have no clue what's going to happen next and I'm hanging off the edge of my seat! I was also rewatching some of the 1st volume reactions you did to give myself a refresher! Everytime you go over MXTX's content something new is upturned, it's like archeology but books.

romaniablack

Oohhhh "Tsu" from "Tsunami" is REALLY helpful -- THANK YOU! And seriously, this entire volume has been reveal after reveal, twist after twist -- it's such chaos but I can't explain how much I love it! Thank you so much! MXTX Mondays are going to be so much fun! :D I appreciate the kind words and comment!

sqqlbh1314

My apologies for not answering till now, I just got up and read the comment because of the timezone difference. Actually, I'm also a bit conflicted about this part because you said sth along the lines of 'I don't think guoshi is the crown prince of Wuyong etc. etc.', so I tried to erase the 'confirmation/de-conformation' by only joking that "if he has this certain secret role, than it'll be funny because we already know others related to him with this role change", but guess I'm not doing it well enough...

romaniablack

It's okay -- it's just even as a joke, saying "if he is" does give me a context that could be spoilery, because you've read the novel. If it's a joke, you kind of confirm he's NOT the crown prince, and if it's tongue and cheek, you confirm he IS and it's sort of spoiling either way. I appreciate you making the joke, but it does give me some anxiety as a reactor, so maybe save the joke until we get the Guoshi's full identity confirmed and then I'll appreciate it more? Or double check in the discord (in spoiler tags) to make sure it's something that I wouldn't consider a spoiler, please. :) That way, I can keep reading your comments and not feel anxious! :D

romaniablack

The Banyue reunion is so precious in this and yeah, HC is quite humble around XL about his MANY talents - of course, we know he makes everyone else praise him, but to XL, he tries to be as humble as possible and I'm SO curious as to where this new information about WuYong will lead us! And YES, MXTX turning us all into archeologists, hahahaha!! Thank you so much for the kind words and comment! :)

romaniablack

I hit my legs and arms against things all the time, so I’m amazed it hasn’t happened more often on camera! It’s okay, though! Hahaha! I wondered if Pei Ming was addressing HC formally almost as a joke, but that makes more sense that he’s very respectful like Xie Lian, too! Then again, he also likes to love lady ghosts, so why wouldn’t he be respectful? ;) I do love that both XL and PM have their own “Rong” to worry about, hahaha!! I do question the years Banyue and “General Hua” spent together, with her running after them with the pot of soup to make sure they ate…I could just picture XL doing the same for her back then. Only everyone was running FROM his soup, then, and Pei Ming is too naive…yet. Bwahaha! Snake venom being this story’s version of MACE is HILARIOUS! XD That is a really good point about Pei Ming to bring up, though! It makes sense for PM to avoid the emotional romance in favor of just the physical – that checks out with his character 100%! I need that butterfly clearing the mural scene animated NOW please, too! OP Butterflies FTW! The manhua looks GORGEOUS and I’m with you, I cannot WAIT to see how Starember draws these new characters! He Xuan just passed out, living his best Heavenly Realm life is also HILARIOUS in hindsight. Thank you so much for the kind words and comment!

I just suddenly came across a theory about the timeline as your discussion goes. Maybe I'm overthinking since i haven't heard of anything similar. The timeline in tgcf may refer to the actual Chinese history!Back in volume 3, xielian borrowed the hat from the rainmaster, and it says that the rainmaster's ascension was around the time when xielian ascended. And it's established that the rainmaster was the last ruler of YUSHI, which was annihilated by the kingdom of XULI.In a word, there were 3 main kingdoms around the same time, which is very similar to the circumstances of the Period of Three Kingdoms in history around 220 AD. Also, one of those 3 was ended by someone who usurped the throne, and that guy became the first emperor of kingdom JIN. And 1200 years before that 3 kindoms period was SHANG dynasty in 1000 BC. The last king of SHANG was a tyrant so the people revolted through wars and started the next dynasty XI ZHOU which means WEST ZHOU. In some ancient fantasy novels, the Gods made a list of names of those who had heroic deeds in that great war.And then they ascended. In my opinion that is the origin of the concept of ascension in many Chinese fantasy novels. And five hundred years later WEST ZHOU had already fell and it became EAST ZHOU ,being a chaotic era while some lords governing a wide domain fought with each other endlessly.I'm assuming that WUYONG refers to SHANG dynasty 2000 years ago,JUN WU may refers to one of the lords in EAST ZHOU 1500 years ago, XIANLE,XULI, YUSHI refer to the three kingdoms period 220 AD, YONG 'AN refers to JIN, and the present time could be around 1000 AD (the poem that xielian and huacheng wrote together was from TANG dynasty around 800 AD before the present time). I'm not an expert in Chinese culture. Those are only my assumption according to my high school history,it could be just coincidence and totally wrong. But I just couldn't ignore it and i desperately wanna tell somebody!!!
