**PLOT REVEAL HEADPHONE WARNINGS**  

Y'ALL, I was not READY for this chapter set, its reveal, and the IMPLICATIONS of what it means for the story as a whole and one of my favorite ships: BEEFLEAF. Just...I haven't been "rocked" by a reveal this much in a while and I'm still in shock, if I'm honest!  

This volume just jumped up there to Volume 3 in my eyes, and it's all centered around one heavenly official's mission to protect his brother and the consequences and trajectory of those actions...HOLY SMOKES. Thanks o everyone who worked hard to keep me from being spoiled! It was WORTH IT, and the reveals aren't over yet, I'm sure!

I had a very similar reaction since I shipped them so hard 🤣😭😭 your reaction is gold! Re-reading past chapters will reveal new painful subtleties in Ming-Yi’s character 😭 MXTX did such a good job building his character up for this moment!

I remember a scene when Reverent of Empty words said bad things to scare XL and then HC smashed MingYi to the ground, MingYi was not innocent at all! 😅 And after HC left XL, he must have secretly asked what Reverent of Empty words said to XL and why XL was so scared, HC must know that XL cares about him a lot. I think that’s why HC suddenly proposed to XL in the carriage (just my guess😆）

And I also understand why HC dun wanna interfere Blackwater matter, no one can understand better than HC how much they suffer to become a supreme and how much determination they had. In fact, I quite like their cooperation, they kind of give me the Like knows like vibe

Thanks for the reaction！ Ever since MY aka HX first appears in volume 1 everyone in discord is secretly sniggering in black boxes because we all went through this before and the revelation is just too good to be forgotten. Black Water: *known by every heavenly official to be secluded and not messing around* also Black Water: *has a secret revenge plan that lasted hundreds of years with critical factors like infatuating the heavenly realm in another god's disguise, befriending the enemy's little brother, making a deal with the other supreme ghost king to make sure he stays out of the way, and last but not least, cross-dressing* The only thing that keeps HC on the island is the fact that XL is still not back to safety, so the moment he returned back to Puji Shrine he was sure it's over, but his god is ready to bring him even some more surprise. Just like last time, he went along to Bogu village, smashed Black Water into the ground when the latter dare used his ability on XL and called his personal limosine/step-litter to pick up XL to prevent him from staying behind and caught up in the matter. SWD must've secretly studied PM's body during all their massage trips to know the skeleton's body is flatter than PM...I sense a ship sailing here. And speaking of PM, dude is probably cutting down trees somewhere to make a king-size coffin, not knowing that the situation has changed completely ROFL Still, I cannot help laughing at the fact that in heaven we tend to have the stereotypical view that martial gods are bunches of hotheads who would just break the locks and barriers to get inside. Earlier when XL come to rescue SQX from his brother the latter stopped him from smashing through the window and here SWD directly said to XL "deal with the locked door in you martial god's way"

What a reveal, right?! Ahhhh, it's good to know that you all have been secretly waiting for this reveal for a WHILE now! :) The contrast between how we THOUGHT the Black Water was to how they actually are is crazy! I was thinking that I feel a little bad for PM, chopping up trees to make coffins without a clue of what's going on. It's wild! Thanks for the comment! Excited to see where this story goes NOW for sure! :)

Romania: Never before have I been so grateful that I decided not to wait. My immediate thought to this was: You're gonna regret it with how Chapter 123 ends! Your wondering about Pei Ming and Hua Cheng sharing a coffin together made me laugh. It's so true; there'd be miles of room between them rather than the scant millimetres that separated Hua Cheng and Xie Lian. You were right with your suspicions, just wrong about the culprit. Xie Lian gives us so much levity with all the tension in these chapters. But I imagine Xie Lian would be the only one complaining for something creepy *not* giving them a jump scare. Gotta get that Pei Ming d*ck joke in! 😂 And bringing levity to the turmoil is Qi Rong...obviously runs in the family! Though also feels like he's sharing the role of the one to poke fun of with Pei Ming 😆 Hua Cheng, yet another man from Mo Xiang Tong Xiu causing me to raise my own expectations 😆 He'll let Xie Lian make his own mistakes but will be at his side to help and isn't one to say "I told you so". The bit with Xie Lian and Shi Qingxuan in one body talking to one another really reminds me of the first episode of Jujutsu Kaisen with Itadori and Sukuna. Xie Lian didn't get the jump scare he was expecting earlier so Mo Xiang Tong Xiu is kind enough to provide us the readers with one *and* a cliffhanger. Your heart sinking is apt considering you've learned the identity of the Ship Sinking Black Water 😂 Also I joked in the discord that you'd have a reaction like Miranda in Mrs Doubtfire 🤣 Knew this one would hurt you because you love Shi Qingxuan so much. Honestly so glad no-one spoiled you for this. I, personally, was being *very* careful with any Beefleaf fanart I posted in the discord because some of "Ming Yi's" looks in fanart veer very close to the glimpses we've gotten of the Black Water. Or it's been tagged He Xuan as well as Ming Yi. Mo Xiang Tong Xiu's bombshell plot drops are so dang explosive. They leave you in such a state of absolute shock as all the pieces come together and you can finally see the bigger picture. "Is this Bai Wuxiang?" Mo Xiang Tong Xiu really make you suspicious of anything and everything. Can't call it paranoid because the way she writes I feel she wants you to be suspicious. For culpability I agree with you that Shi Qingxuan isn't to blame, and although Shi Wudu did it to try and protect his little brother the road to hell is paved with good intentions. This turn of events with Beefleaf is exactly why Alternate Universe FanFics are a shipper's dream! 🤣 Absolutely fantastic reaction! You truly have my utmost sympathies though that you've had such a gap and been unable to read the next chapters.

You know what I thought when you said Black Water is true to his word? The first thing I thought of were all those times “Ming Yi” denied being best friends with Shi Qingxuan 🥺🥺🥺 and true to his word, he was his enemy this whole time 😭😭😭 Man, this whole situation is such a mess. It makes for good fix-it fanfics though hahahaha Your reaction was everything I hoped it would be once we got this reveal. Seeing you connecting all the dots and the signs that were right in front of our faces this whole time. And you slowly losing your mind that HE WAS BLACKWATER THIS WHOLE TIME. I was just as shocked as you were when I first read this. When I began rereading the entirety of TGCF, you can really see all the hints and clues being dropped and how, in hindsight, it makes so much sense!! Especially with Hua Cheng’s reactions/snide comments (he really didn’t care to hide it), the gambler’s den imprisonment, just the set up of having “Ming Yi” be suspicious first so you can put any suspicion of him out of your mind for the rest of the arc. Xie Lian was right first but he just didn’t have all the pieces yet. I was also worried about the manhua accidentally spoiling the reveal. Because if you go back to the chapters where they talk about the calamities, they show Blackwater/He Xuan, they show him with his back turned, and StarEmber drew them VERY SIMILARLY to his Ming Yi facade. Because like I mentioned a long while back when you first started the series, those beginning chapters were more made with the idea that you’ve already read the entire novel beforehand. But luckily the manhua chapters were spaced out where you wouldn’t really remember. My heart really goes out to Shi Qingxuan. Because even in the midst of all this stress, he had always trusted in Ming Yi. They spent how many years together—decades, centuries?—and for all that to be a lie? I can’t even imagine the betrayal that must have felt for him. He Xuan was really playing the long con. And yet, I know it’s still up in the air at the moment, but I just want to say, theres something strangely romantic how intertwined Shi Qingxuan and He Xuan are. Maybe thats why I enjoy beefleaf despite all this heartache its causing me. It just makes their relationship all the more angsty and complex 🥲🥲🥲 I can’t wait until next week. I’m on the edge of my seat for the next reaction!!

SOOO glad you weren't spoilt for it. one of the craziest chapters so far - and we've had some crazy chapters. I really wanna read that wild alternate universe where hua cheng did go with pei ming and they have to build and share a coffin. oh my god can you imagine 😅😅 and uhhh... so beefleaf huh 😭😅🥹 that tiny squeak of 'so...beefleaf...' actually made me cackle cause... yeah. I definitely had a spiral about them when i first read the book. the continuing realisation of THE WHOLE TIME!?? insane. totally insane. but through it all i really love hualian too!! i really love how this epic dramatic reveal was so rich and shocking but didn't do that typical thing of making the main love interests fight. xie lian immediately was so understanding of hua cheng's situation. instead he just does what he needs to do about it - no blaming or betrayal. for some guys who haven't got together yet they sure have a steadfast and loyal relationship based on mutual understanding 💗 i love hualian!! anyway, thanks for a fantastic reaction! I knew it would be good but even then it was so delightful to see you scream hehehehe. can't wait for next week!!

OH, I am SO GLAD that I wasn't spoiled and this reveal takes the cake so far! But seriously, I NEED that AU of Pei Ming and HC stuck in a coffin boat as far apart as possible! XD I neeeeeeed it *Spongebob voice* And yessss, I won't lie - still in a state of shock and denial about Beef Leaf being the designated ANGST SHIP this entire time -- MXTX, what the actual heck?! Insanity, indeed! At least MXTX gives us HuaLian moments to make up for it, right!? The understanding these two have for each other - no miscommunication, betrayal, blame - it's so refreshing and beautiful! They're definitely an OTP for me! Ahh, thank you for the kindness and comment - I am SO excited for next week, honestly -- I have a feeling the roller coaster isn't slowing down any time soon! :) :)

UGH, Ming Yi was telling the truth the whoooooole time, NOOOOOOO – my heart is crushed. X_X Oh, I cannot IMAGINE THE FIXIT FAN FICS! This set of chapters were TRAGGGGGICCCCC! Hahahaha, I lost my mind over the course of the discussion as it hit wave upon wave with how deep this revelation went! @_@ It’s going to make going back and re-reading the story SO MUCH FUN when I’m finished with this series! And yes, XL knew! He just didn’t have proof! Ahhhhh, I’ll have to go back and look at the manhua now – I feel that since we didn’t know what Ming Yi looked like at that point, I didn’t even think about it, but I’m glad it didn’t spoil! :) That spacing worked very well in that instance! My heart SO goes out to the Wind Master - that poor soul! :( And he trusted him so much! THE BETRAYAL - the long con was REAL in this story so far. #_# And YES, what’s hard is that there’s STILL romantic air between them – the heartache, but I am so confused on how to handle beefleaf now – I guess we’ll see where it goes! 🙂YES, so excited for next week! Bwahahaha, Be careful what you wish for, right?? *weeps* I need a picture of the Pei Ming/Hua Cheng coffin where it’s a literal ship and they’re just sitting on opposite sides, haha! I’m also on a PM joke quota at this point. Xie Lian’s resolve through all of this was so needed and so refreshing! And OMG, Qi Rong is just suffering in so many ways at this point in the story – but XL likely approves the torture he’s going through. HC is ruining romantic relationships for everyone – he won the Husbando bracket for a REASON. Meanwhile, the Black Water is truly Ship-sinking…. *weeps more* And oooh, that JJK comparison with SQX and XL is so good! My reaction was SO like Miranda from Ms. Doubtfire! XD my heart was BREAKING from the Wind Master! It’s so sad because YES, this was all Shi Wudu’s fault, but…the road to hell was paved with good intentions as well…and now there’s just a mess of heartbreak. Where’s that BeefLeaf AU fan fic, now? Kidding, I need to finish the series, first. XD YES, MXTX has made me suspicious of everything everywhere, now. Ahhh, I cannot thank you enough for not spoiling me!
