It's SO much fun to see the parallels from Season 1 to the final season, now, especially with characters like Eren - and it's on FULL FORCE this volume!  

Some moments that I didn't consider as powerful on first glance REALLY hold up even better when you see it in the fuller context with this review and we're just getting started, right?! Let's DO THIS review!

Isayama said the manga is like a live performance while the anime is the album version. Some of the moments in the anime are definitely superior but there’s something special about a manga series that was so intricately crafted. Everything just seems so much more clearly thought out and executed

This volume felt a bit more different from the anime then prior ones (not in content perhaps, but more in tone) but the thing i really liked was that shot of Grisha. If it's something i feel is missing from the anime it is a shot of Grisha in season 1 that (in hindsight) can be interpreted as him seeing adult Eren, i think we got it here. One might almost suspect that this Isayama guy had a plan all along.

Yesssss, right?! That shot of Grisha -- seeing the terror behind his eyes! If you DIDN'T watch season 3, you'd have no idea, but knowing what we know now -- it's insane to think that Isayama may have just had all this planned out for a while now! Thank you for the comment! :D
